Somewhat More Frustrated Wednesday
Nov. 13th, 2019 11:24 pmAnd hey, it's the 13th, good for it. Anyway, had some annoying stuff at work -- making my way through a bunch of returns, running into a few unexpected issues. Most of them are done, but I still need to finish up a few last tweaks. . . Also, was thrown for a loop when our expected meeting today abruptly became a "hey I'm taking you out to lunch" thing. Which -- I guess was nice of the last of the old executives/interim director guy, but:
A) I really don't like being surprised by stuff like that, especially when I was looking forward to chilling on my lunch hour in the metaphorical sense. . .
B) Especially since I ended up chilling in the rather more literal sense, as it was below freezing all day today, and our usual restaurant's heating wasn't working properly -.-
At least I managed a decent meal (cup of tomato soup and a starter macaroni-and-cheese that was honestly pretty tasty). And I guess it did save me from having to worry about lunch tomorrow, as the spinach pies I brought could just be left in the fridge overnight. Still, would have at least preferred an earlier head's up. And such an event to happen on a warmer day. Bleh.
Fortunately, as if in sympathy, I actually had a decent ride home, and my evening's been pretty solid:
-->Got another page or so done on "Londerland Bloodlines." Up to 25 pages, still am not done with the tutorial. *facepalm, giggling* I'm almost there! There's one more discipline tutorial, a few more people to distract/kill, and then the car will come to pick Alice up. . .and then I have to write her getting a new shirt and getting her stuff from her hotel room, but still. I will probably find a better way to clean all this up in the future. I hope, anyway, because I do want people to actually READ this as a story, ya know? I think 2020, once I'm finished with "Secundus 2," will have to be almost all LB, all the time, save for "In A World Of His Own," that one Forgotten Vows Verse story about Victor's Otherland I'm determined to write.

A) A dorm makeover over at University of Britechester (Wyvern Hall -- I LOVE that it's all named after dragons :D), where he upgraded the serviceable student accommodations to something much more fun and useful (now it has a cafeteria! And more bedrooms! And a mini-robotics lab!). I am here for all these University upgrades, honestly. Just makes me want the pack more!
B) Another episode of Planet Zoo -- the crocodile's habitat has been drastically reduced, and part of it converted into a habitat for red pandas! Which are adorable, yay~ Though it took him a while to get their habitat just right, and he picked up some protesters in the meantime. XD He's also got educational stuff in front of every exhibit, so that's cool. :D Zoo is slowly but surely coming together!
-->Did some of my Victor Luvs Alice queue -- good to go for tomorrow, but I find myself a little stuck for Forgotten Vows Friday. Might have to find something to reblog as a sort of "filler post." Just not a lot to talk about if I'm not actively working on a story! Which, admittedly, doesn't happen OFTEN with this verse, but given my brain has been eaten by the Bloodlines AU shenanigans. . .
And I took care of my inbox comments earlier, so it's time to wrap up and head to bed. Two more days, then a normal-sized (if kind of chilly) weekend. But it's not a cleaning weekend, so yay there. :p Night!
