Feeling A Touch Adrift
Dec. 11th, 2019 11:17 pmI hadn't quite cottoned on to how much I planned my evenings around watching YouTube videos at a specific time (8 to 9:30ish most nights) and then listening to video game soundtracks or various relaxing music videos the rest of the night. Staying off the site for two days is proving -- weird, to stay the least. I feel kind of adrift. O.o On the plus side, I was able to find something to provide good background noise/music: MyNoise.net! It's a "background ambient sound" generator that has a lot of different options (rain, coffee shops, Gregorian chants) and sliders on each one to help adjust everything to JUST the right levels. I've got it on "88 Keys," one for piano music. Definitely helps keep the room from getting too quiet!
Anyway, today was a bit of an odd day overall -- snowy weather this morning earned us an hour delay into work, then a Christmas party tonight led to the office closing an hour early. Can't complain, especially since the day was fairly stressful even with the reduced hours. (We've got some weird situations that need fiddling with, and the annoyance of waiting on our vendors for proper fiddling.) I spent most of my morning trying to find MyNoise.net (I'd seen it before as a recommendation on tumblr, but I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was CALLED), then went ahead and started grabbing pics for the next Newcrest Adventures update next week. And in the afternoon?
-->Read a bunch of tumblr blogs and caught up on my dash
-->Found some workout stuff on Vimeo so I could get some exercise in -- much DIFFERENT exercise than I'm used to, but hey, that's probably a good thing. Varies the routine a little.
-->Started rereading B to the F: The Novelization of Back To The Future -- aka "Ryan North looks at the novelization of the first BTTF film by George Gipe and it is hilarious" (and makes me want to do something similar, looking at the Corpse Bride script I now have access to. . .)
-->Wrote another Christmas fic, w000~ Only three left to go, it looks like! And at least one of them is likely to be a specific request, sooo. . . Feels good to be on-track with these. :)
-->Got my Victor Luvs Alice queue sorted straight through the first half of Sunday! Nice to be ahead of the game there. :) So I don't have to worry about queuing on that for a few days. Probably should take the opportunity to slap up a few new drafts, though. . .

And now -- well, still feeling slightly adrift, so I'll probably see about getting more Sims pictures sorted before hitting the sheets. Perfectly normal (if cold) Thursday coming up, and I have to be prepared. *nods* Night all!
