crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)
Got one nasty person on the phone, and someone else who had me looking up loads of stuff for a gift right before it was time to go home. . .and it was just generally kind of busy, what with catching up on e-mails, getting the GL done, and working through requests from various people. I mean, it made the time go by! I just wish it had gone by quicker -- I was expecting to get out early. :( At least traffic today was light! I was expecting much worse, given it was pouring rain all day.

Despite having a pretty much normal day at work, though, I still managed to find some time to fit in some Bloodlines! I really wanted to do a bit more of it, so I went ahead and played some after supper. I have advanced further on the mini-quests that make up the main quest line in Chinatown -- though for a while, I thought I wasn't going to advance any farther than the Tong fight that marks the end of "Original Gangster!" Fighting against a lot of humans with a lot of guns is HARD, yo -- even with someone else at your back shooting at them. Made me miss Fallout 4 and its grenades, in fact! Took me so many tries to finally make it through. . .and then I accidentally ended up reloading because I thought the quest had glitched out. *facepalm* Forgot that it only ends once you LEAVE Zhao's warehouse. . .but, weirdly enough, reloading and redoing the end of the fight one last time actually allowed me to SAVE Zhao, my informant -- which, given the amount of bullets being sprayed around, is no mean feat! You don't actually get anything extra from preventing him getting killed by the Tong, but it was pretty satisfying.

Also satisfying? Obfuscating my way out of Glaze and thus avoiding another Tong firefight after the game made me kill leader Johnny. :p Oh, I love Obfuscate -- I am definitely saving up my XP to buy the final level so I can open doors without issue anymore and be an invisible terror machine. XD Fu Syndicate first, though! Saved just outside of that -- will go through the Mandarin's tests next time I play.

Of course, playing video games meant that I had less time for writing and video watching -- fortunately, I could justify working the Londerland Bloodlines timeline as writing (especially since it'll help me later on with the PROPER writing of the story), and I had a VtM-related video from Outstar to watch! About the upcoming source book -- all about various Kindred religions (there's a cool one about worshiping Lilith that's all about control plant life and suchlike -- pity they want to bring about another flood!); cults, both created by vampires and created by mortals; the combining of all of the various "death clans" into one super-clan, Hecata; and new rules for vampiric necromancy. Good stuff -- I'm not usually into the tabletop side of the world, but Outstar definitely does a good job of making it all interesting. :) Keeps me hyped for my AU too. :)

Rest of the evening has been pretty standard "catching up on webcomics and trying to get some queueing done" stuff -- I'm doing an early Valice Multiverse queue because, well, I'm gonna be away from my computer most of the night tomorrow because New Year's movie marathon! And I've got a LOT to put in there. . .at least today I was able to empty out the inbox early! Still, gotta get on that if I expect to have ANYTHING up for tomorrow. . .plus I want to see if I can get any farther with my next Newcrest Adventures update's pictures too. . . Ugh, so much to do, so little freaking time. . . New Year's Resolution: FIGURE OUT SOME PROPER FREAKING TIME MANAGEMENT. *sigh* Night all!
