This Week Is Full Of Ups And Downs
Feb. 20th, 2020 11:11 pmBack to a busier day today -- mostly because I had to spend like the entire day working on the GL because of interruptions and other issues. Also, my coworker was out sick again today, and part of me wonders if I am going to get sick, as I felt sort of -- on the VERGE of stuffy most of the day at work? Like, if my nose put in a little more effort, I'd be stuffed up? But now it's clearer, and I'm wondering if it's just a sinus issue with my nose not liking something about a) work or b) the temperature (which was climbing into the 40s before dropping into the 30s today. . .maybe I'm literally just sick of winter). I don't know, I have taken the view that I will see how I feel in the morning and go from there.
Anyway, got as much done at work as I could, then came home and did some other stuff:
-->I put into my queue a questionnaire thing I did for Bloodlines fledglings, and people seem to like it! :) I got nice responses from the three fave OCs that I name-checked in the original, w000 :D Had to update Alice's own answers to the darn thing when I realized from reading the others I'd missed some sidequests she skipped, but hey. This is fun. :)
-->Wrote some more on "Secundus 2" Chapter 4 -- Marty's doing his best to talk Victor down from his anxiety spiral over his temper and what being a Touched has done to it. He's mostly succeeding, happily -- Victor's at least willing to try and believe him. Actually pretty close to wrapping this chapter up, w000 -- and just in time for me to update Chapter 1 as necessary over on AO3. :) So you'll be getting chapters steadily through the first few weeks of March, yay~
-->Had a GrayStillPlays triple-play on YouTube:
A) Plague, Inc., which I'm surprised I haven't seen before (though admittedly I have not watched all of his videos) -- Gray killed the entire world through a virus someone had made which turns everyone into Entitled Parents. XD It was pretty fricking hilarious -- the creator put a lot of thought into making their parents very entitled indeed!
B) Speaking Simulator -- Kevin did it, now it's Gray's turn to operate the robot that is so good at speaking it can pretend to be human even with parts falling off! XD Gray got us further into the game than Kevin did, which allowed us to see our robot become a union rep, talk their way past a bouncer (on another date with Karen), and -- crucially -- tear up the dance floor. Namely via being dragged around via mouse cursor. It was fantastic. XD
C) Talking To Strangers: Afternoon Delight -- a game about being a door-to-door salesperson in a very weird world that will probably try to kill you. Gray managed to get his first character killed by persistently ringing a broken doorbell. XD He also caused his character to become so enraged they quit in a furious huff, get so depressed they had to go back to their motel room and cry, get pulled into a ritual that turned them into a mindless zombie (so, Thursday), and join a spider collective as their newest member. He also successfully sold products to a policewoman INVESTIGATING AN ACTIVE CRIME SCENE and found what might be the game's only good ending by petting a dog, so -- swings and roundabouts?
-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted, w00~ Mostly asks, and I sent one of my own off to a friend who reblogged one of the same memes I did. So yay there :p
And now I should wrap things up and head to bed. One more day of work tomorrow! Barring me feeling miserable in the morning and needing to take a sick day, but -- again, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. *nods* Night all!
