Mostly because it was very hot and very sticky outside -- never even got a chance to play our game. :( At least Mom and I were able to give Dad his present (new slippers), and he liked the card that I sent him online (one featuring "Frog Dylan" -- thought he'd get a kick out of that). My parents spent most of their day marathoning more Breaking Bad, while I:

-->Spent rather a lot of time reading chunks of both Raising Steam and Truckers -- I've been reading the Moist Von Lipwig Discworld books at night to help relax my brain some before sleep, and decided to move onto Truckers (a non-Disc book about nomes who end up in a department store, discover a whole other society of nomes there, and then have to help them evacuate when it becomes clear the store is closing) for a bit of variety. Getting involved in a book helps keep some of The Anxiety (tm) away, at least for a little while.

-->I did watch some stuff on YouTube, though rather than the stuff in my Watch Later, I ended up mostly watching compilation videos:

A) Starting with an interesting video showing off RTGame and Kevin's friendship – specifically, how poor RTGame struggles to get ANYTHING done when he's playing any form of co-op game with Kevin. XD Kevin is chaos incarnate when he's playing with other people, and it seems RT is the one who most often has to try and wrangle him. Not that RT is entirely innocent himself when it comes to handling some of these games. . .I think my favorite clips were from when they played Don't Starve Together, simply because Kevin spent so much of his time either setting things on fire or dying, to RT's deep consternation. XD

B) Also from the same uploader – a collection of clips from Kevin where he says something that could be – taken the wrong way. XD If you are of an innuendo-liking persuasion, this is a compilation for you! :P Or even if you aren't – most of these I didn't find very innuendo-y, but they were still very funny! XD

C) Over to Fun With Shorts next, where we had a short about being a pharmacist! Which is – sadly topical, don't you think? And Josh made a joke about the pharmacist being in charge of medicines and not being "political," which is ALSO sadly topical, and – well, it was an amusing episode, but it did also make me a little sad, soooo. . .

D) Back to another quick little compilation video of Call Me Kevin clips – this time, stuff that sounds intimidating or threatening if you don't know that he's just a total goofball (or even if you do – he is VERY GOOD at being evil in games XD). I am quite pleased by these bits of silly, I must say.

E) Then a different sort of compilation, of fails and funny moments in Fallout 4. It was – okay. I've seen better ones – but it did have a funny glitch where the wires on the old telephone poles and street lamps were shaking for no reason, so I got to make a VTMB reference. And all was well in the world. :P

F) Another Call Me Kevin compilation (by the Dear Leader Jim himself), this one of him being awkward outside! XD He is an adorable bit of awkward, I can tell you that much. Kind of surprised that it didn't end with the infamous "baby kick" clip, but then I saw it was made in 2019, and I'm pretty sure that one happened earlier this year (if time means anything anymore), so understandable omission. I expect to see it in future compilations, though!

-->I did play some Fallout 4 too -- though not as much I was hoping, because:

1. First, I had to figure out how to actually update my "Vault-Tec Overhaul Redux" mod. Vortex has a feature that will let you scan for updates -- but the only one it found was for the "Unofficial FO4 Patch." Which, yes, that had had a very minor update. . .but I knew for a fact it should have found one for "Vault-Tec Overhaul Redux" AND the "Apple Trees" mod I use! So I ended up having to go to the website and redownload the files -- which led to a weird situation where I ended up with TWO "Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch" files. I've disabled the earlier one and enabled the update, and things seem to be working smoothly in the testing saves, but still. . . At least the "Vault-Tec Overhaul Redux" mod got its update, and I was able to fully fix my problem with the Overseer's desk while also taking a look at the updated lights and whatnot.

2. And then in-game, I had to deal with incredibly fussy and stupid snapping. Namely, it appears that the pieces from each room in the Vault sets? Only snap to other pieces in the same set, and hallway pieces if you're lucky. I decided I wanted to build Barstow her own little Overseer office, and I had a HELL of a time organizing things so I could actually easily make a ROOM out of the pieces, and attach it to what was already there. *grumbles* Part of me enjoy settlement building, part of me gets frustrated at how fiddly placing objects can be sometimes. I suspect my Vault 88, once I properly do it, is not going to be that big. We'll see, though. At least with making the office and putting up some lights, I can consider the "Vault-Tec Overhaul Redux" mod tested! Time to start throwing in the last few waiting on my list. . .though I suspect I should check them all for updates first.

-->Despite a very late start thanks to us watching the end of the 2006 Big Fat Quiz of the Year with dinner and cake (again, Dad's birthday and all) and then me needing to take my shower, I did indeed finish Chapter 9 of "Secundus 2!" It's pretty much just Alice reassuring Victor again that this isn't really his fault, and Victor saying he knows, but it's hard to just shut the worry off, you know? A sentiment I can really relate to in these times. But at least I'm ready for next Sunday and an update on the story! Now I just have to figure out how I'm handling Chapter 10 -- or Chapters 10 and 11, as the case may be. . .

-->And I just finished doing my queue for the Valice Multiverse, so I'm good there! Just have to answer the comments in the inbox, and -- well. Not sure what I'll do with the rest of my night. Read stuff on TV Tropes? Hunt down a funny video or two to watch just to keep my spirits up? Stay up entirely too late just to ensure I'm too tired to worry overmuch before trying to go to sleep? I'm sure I'll find something to fill the time. And tomorrow -- well, I'd like to at least watch the OXBox that's sitting around in my Watch Later, and play a little more Sims 4 -- see how Nikal is getting on with her pregnancy. Want to at least somewhat enjoy my day off! Night all -- hope you're doing well!
