Managed to make some better use of my time this evening, so I'm not updating RIGHT on the wire like last night. I really gotta figure out a better system for Sunday evenings. . .problem is, Jon updates so late. . .I'll see what I can do this upcoming weekend. In the meantime:

Work – Mostly-quiet day work-wise – the GL wasn’t too complicated, and most of my day was spent working through duplicates. I did have a call with the credit card people about one of our many issues, and lo and behold, the issue was not fixed. *sigh* So that’s back in their court now. Ugh, I wish we could get some of this stuff properly resolved. . .we’ll see what happens this week, I guess.

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – back on the bike, and onto Episode 13 of James Turner’s High School Years Rags To Riches! Though now it is Discover University Rags To Riches, Part II, as Reginald – having successfully graduated from Copperdale High in the last episode – is now a college student! James gave him a makeover using ThrifTea (though thanks to the limitations of how creating fashion looks goes, he then had to recreate the outfit in CAS – on the plus side, that meant that Reginald now has a spare version of his new look to sell), ended up giving his chosen dorm in Foxbury a makeover when it became apparent that he couldn’t fit all of the Sims he wanted to fit in there as it was (he’s using a mod that lets him chose all his college roommates, and he wanted to bring all 12 of the people Reginald knew in high school with him, so the dorm had to be expanded – he basically added a second floor with more bedrooms and turned the first floor into mostly communal living space with a “library” and a “kitchen”), and then finally officially enrolled in Foxbury, taking an Economics degree! And apparently he was auto-enlisted into the soccer team when he arrived too, since he was in cheer. *shrug* Okay then. James ATTEMPTED to keep all his important stuff in his household inventory, but discovered that he couldn’t access said inventory while in the dorms (kind of an oversight there!), so Reginald was forced to buy some necessities, like a new laptop, from the kiosk nearby. Meh. Still, he’s already getting into the swing of things in university, blowing off his first day of soccer practice to throw a rocking keg party. XD And doing some less-than-successful keg stands with Sidney. XD Ah, this makes me want to play through university again with my Sims. . .but I think I’m keeping my Valicer trio in the Chill Save quite busy enough, honestly! Even if they are on vacation right at the moment.

2. Continue writing “The Joker And The Queen”: Check – I have finished off Chapter Two now, with Dr. Kelman having deflected all of Victor’s arguments about him having the wrong person, and how if he doesn’t let him go, Alice will kick his ass. He’s also informed Victor that he can’t try any funny business here, because of “the Corkscrew” – a strange device woven into the very walls of The Sanctuary, which dampens unusual powers. Victor is not happy about ANY of this, and is hoping the universe allows him to escape soon. . .sorry, buddy, but you’ve got a few more chapters of this to go. At least next time you get to meet some new friends!

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: One-third check – Call Me Kevin had a 42-minute long video tonight, so I decided to watch that and save the GrayStillPlays and Josh Way for tomorrow, since it’ll be easier to double up with another Gray on Tuesday. So I spent my post-writing time watching “This Shrek game made me lose my sanity,” aka Kevin playing Shrek for the original Xbox! It’s – it’s bad. It’s purportedly a sequel to the movie (made before the actual sequel came out), which sees Shrek having to battle a mysteriously evil Merlin – but before he can do that, he has to do various “good deeds” for people in a variety of locations. Like farting on and beating up all the witches in the local crypt! Gathering up all the sweet engineers in the Molasses Sewer! Getting all of the Gander’s egg children away from Humpty Dumpty and back into their nest in Mother Goose’s land! And farting on a dancing cow not once, but twice! The game is INCREDIBLY glitchy (parts of the scenery just regularly vanish, forcing you to make many leaps of faith onto invisible floors and walls); the controls are horrible (the game involves a lot of wall-jumping around, but the wall jump is near IMPOSSIBLE to master or control); Shrek runs at speeds formerly unknown to ogre-kind (possibly because Kevin was playing a 30 fps game at 60 fps, but at least one person said they’re pretty sure he was always Speedy Gonzales); and you’re kicked back to the map screen every time you complete ONE objective in an area – and there are SIX per area! It’s madness! Kevin didn’t even complete the game because he couldn’t figure out how to actually beat Merlin, and his attempts at looking up a guide did not go as well as he’d hoped. Ooof. No wonder Kevin told himself-as-a-judge-in-a-fake-courtroom that the game drove him insane. XD It would have done the same to me!

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – got all the text on my Chill Save Update for Wednesday (Day One of the Valicer Camping Vacation) sorted this evening. Actually just finished up the fourth and final post, in fact. So that’s all sorted, at least – just gotta slap it all in the queue tomorrow!

*nods* Not too shabby -- I do owe Moose a reply in the DMs, but that'll have to wait until tomorrow. As it is, I'm gonna try to get to bed a little earlier and snag some more sleep under the nice warm covers. Night all!
