crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

I've got the rest of the stories organized, so now it's all NonTrilogy. Doc, you want to move "Inspiration" to an earlier year? 1989 needs an extra story.
-D: Maybe. I don't see how any of the others you have planned could be moved.-
-M: Didn't you have about five tons of NonTrilogy back in the day?-
Yeah, but most of it was craptastic.
-J: Still can't hurt to give it another look. Maybe you can salvage a few more ideas.-
Well, maybe. Let's see what I can do with the current crop of stories first.
-OD: *tentacle looks at the paper* Hey, where's Tales of the Muses?-
Other side -- I organized those first.
-RPD: My story's been added, yes?-
Yup. :)
-OD: How about this untitled Trilogy story?-
Yeah, I wrote that one a bit back, and haven't found a place for it yet. It definitely comes before "Window of Opportunity." Needs some refining and a title -- the basic idea was Marty's family ragging on him a little after Clara calls for some advice on how to handle Doc.
-M2: Heh. Yeah, I can see that.-
-VD2: You ever plan to do anything with those twins?-
*shrug* We'll see what happens. Maybe I can adapt one of the old NonTrilogys. But yeah, seems a little stupid of me to give TrilogyDoc twins and then give him the least stories.
-VD2: . . . Actually, it seems completely in character. I have triplets at the end of the Night and Day miniseries, and you're not planning on doing anything with them either.-
LOL, good point. Perhaps I'm subconsciously intimidated by multiples.

Stopped by the Weasley's today in La Fiesta Tech -- they were overdue for a visit. We started off with them all excercising their little hearts out.

George was forced to stop after a while due to exhaustion -- got fit though. I sent him to nap.

Fred kept going until classtime, while Percy kept going until he got a Body point. He ate pizza and enjoyed a nice bubble bath while George woke up from his nap and called his pal Sheila.

Fred came home, and complained mightly about me sending him to the chess board. I sent Percy to join him and keep him in line. George watched the Yummy Channel next to them, hoping to gain cooking skill.

Then it was some final showering for Fred and bedtime for everyone -- look at how scuzzy they let their shower get!

George gets some fresh pizza for breakfast -- a perk I love about Greek Houses.

He however puts it in the bedroom, so the boys have to enjoy it at their desks.

As day breaks, the boys drift to different parts of the house. As usual, the bubble blower sees some action.

Percy starts harvesting the money trees again. This leads to him having earned 10,000 in his lifetime, which absolutely thrills him. Too bad the actual bank account only shows 4,00 or so.

Fred, meanwhile, tries out yoga with limited success. Percy complains about him blocking the television.

Percy and George eventually go to class, leaving Fred alone. But say, who's this? Why, it's Gil Wulfenbach!

He and Fred start talking about the paranormal. "So you guys really believe it's possible to see the future?"
"Well, yeah. We're wizards and all."

Percy and George come back -- George dishes up pizza while Percy hits the money trees.

I also have them show a bit of brotherly affection -- George and Percy aren't too close.

Then Percy hits the typewriter and does his term paper. He isn't nodding off in that last pic, he's having a hissy fit about an excercising George blocking his way.

George moves, while Fred calls up Marty to chat. It always helps to know future members.

Percy, in the meantime, gets to energize, being my only Sim in platinum. I let the twins sleep and have him do assignments to get his grade up. Fred and George will hold another party and get their pledges to help them. :p

Random shot of the twins -- even with the different colored sweaters, I still get them mixed up.

I also briefly hit Narbonics in Eureka -- I was going to make a family, but then I realized I'd get to tweaking and wouldn't be out of the game by 10. So instead I decided to make some quick modifications to a premade lot, the 3-in-1 Bookstore.

Mostly, it was a matter of putting in more bookshelves -- Maxis focused on the magazine rack in this for some reason. I also added a few new plant decorations and replaced the till.

I also added a row of premade houses to Davenport Lane. I'll put some empty residentals around later.
-RPD: Hm, not bad.-
It's a start, yes. I'll do some more Mad Hill Valley work tomorrow.

I also have another drabble for you all!
-DW: Er -- forgive our lack of enthusiasm--
Relax, this one's just odd, not disturbing and angstful.

18. Birth
“. . . . So x equals 24 in this case.”
Marty nodded, smiling up at Doc. “Thanks, Doc. It makes a lot more sense now.”
“Glad to help,” Doc replied, smiling back. “Care to try a problem on your own now?”
“Yeah.” Marty looked over the next problem, then went to work. Doc stepped back and observed his friend. Once again, he debated the wisdom of involving Marty in the upcoming time travel experiment. Things were just so -- different now. At least, different than he was sure they had been the first time around.
After all, the Marty McFly who had visited him back in 1955 had been male.
Doc shook his head. Amazing what changes can happen from one trip into the past. Marty’s interference with his parent’s first meeting has changed his -- her -- whole life -- and mine as well. It was rather shocking to find her in my garbage cans three years ago, instead of the boy I was expecting. . . .
His eyes strayed over to the almost-completed DeLorean. In one month, he would conduct a temporal experiment at the local mall, and Marty would be catapulted back to 1955. What would happen to her then? Would she somehow change into her male counterpart? Would there be two Marty McFlys back there, one of each sex? Or would the ripple effect change his memories so that he always recalled it being a girl who showed up on his front step with the fantastic story of being a time traveler?
Only one way to see, Doc thought with a shrug. He just hoped that, whatever happened, it wouldn’t have a detrimental effect on Marty. Boy or girl, he still felt an extreme fondness for the teenager. Though I’ll always wonder exactly what he did to cause himself to be born female this time around. . . . .
Marty -- Martina -- looked up. “I think I’ve got it. Mind checking it over?”
“Not at all.” Doc took his seat next to his friend and began reviewing her math.

Partially inspired by "No Place Like Home," though I'm sure most BTTF writers have had this thought at one point or another.
-VM: It's a little creepy.-
-VuM: If only because Marlene shows us very well what we might look like as a girl.-
LoL, good point.
-J: Wonder who Martina dates?-
Suppose I could genderbend you -- what would be a good male form for Jennifer? *hits Google*
-J2: *looks at sites* Hey, that's interesting. I never knew "Jennifer" was Welsh.-
Yeah, I know. Apparently means "white wave" or "fair one." Appears to be a Guinevere variant. It has 21 variants of its own: Genna, Genni, Gennie, Gennifer, Geniffer, Gennivre, Genny, Jen, Jena, Jenefer, Jeni, Jenifer, Jeniffer, Jenn, Jenna, Jennee, Jenni, Jennica, Jennie, Jenniver and Jenny.
-J: . . . "Jenefer?"-
I know. Looks like it -- the regular version -- was way popular in the seventies.
-VJ: Wonder why?-
Got me. *searches for male version* Huh. Gene, Gino, and John are the top picks.
-AJ: I'm sure as hell not a "Gino." Gene or John.-
LOL, yeah. *just for fun, looks up Martin, Emmett, and Clara* Okay, "Martin" is of Latin origin, means "dedicated to Mars." It has 16 variant forms: Marinos, Mart, Martel, Martell, Marten, Martenn, Marti, Martie, Martijn, Martinien, Martino, Martinos, Martinus, Marton, Marty and Martyn
-M: o.O-
-M2: "Martyn?"-
Probably the new hip way to spell it. And hey, Marty as a name topped off in the 60s! Right on the mark, the Bobs!
Clara: Latin, meaning "famous" or "brilliant." 13 variant forms: Clarabelle, Claretha, Claribel, Clarice, Clarie, Clarinda, Clarine, Clarita, Claritza, Clarrie, Clarry, Klara and Klarra
-OD: *tentacles buzz* Okay, "Klara?" That's stupid.-
I'm more shocked by "Clarry" and "Claritza" myself. Seemed to peak back in the 1900s, that makes sense.
And Emmett: English, male variant of Ancient-Germanic name "Emma," which meant "universal." Could also be Old German "energetic, powerful" or Old English "an ant."
-D: *blink blink* Wha?-
Well, the GERMAN version fits you. 5 variant forms: Emmet, Emmit, Emmitt, Emmot and Emmott
-VD: "Emmot."-
-VD2: Thank God Mother liked the "e" version.-
Topped in 1900, sank out of sight in the 1990s.

And now, I have some "V.D." edits to wrap up, and some more work to do on "Strange Bedfellows."
-TD: And Chapter 8 of "Boy Genius."-
Yus yus.
