Friday The 13th. . . .

crossover_chickAnd I'm reading Rose Potter and watching "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" on MST3K via YouTube. Do you boys really want me to write?
-MDC: Spork something!-
Need to figure out what first. . . .
-VD: I hate when you fry your brain.-
Well, you can be sure of one thing -- I'm finishing written "Boy Genius" tonight, come hell or high water.
-TD: *whistles* Really?-
Yup. Just gotta wrap up the ending scene. Then it's all typing, baby.
-VDM: Cool.-
-OD: Plan to take a few days off to concentrate solely on "The Gift and the Curse?"-
Yup -- an entire week for you.
-OD: *tentacles hug me* Thanks. Though it would be nice if you finished coloring the sprites.-
I'll get to it this weekend, don't worry.
-RPD: Do you at least have a Sims update for us?-
Yup! Brown and Eureka, just like I said.
The Browns are doing fairly well -- Doc finished a Cleanbot early this morning.
The adults spent the morning studying for the most part -- Clara for a promotion, Doc to get closer to his want of maxing out his Logic.
Jules tackled a leaky shower upstairs, while Verne and Martina finally became best friends. :)
I also bought a wardrobe -- after a little though, I've decided that Jules's shirt looks much better on Verne, and vice-versa.
Doc was alone for most of the morning -- Clara had work, the kids school. He spent most of it practicing his logic either on the chessboard or with the medicine-making machine, though he took some time for a shower and a nap.
-D: Just HAD to grab a shower picture, didn't you?-
Yup. :) Not like you can see anything -- blur, curtain, AND waist-up.
Clara and the boys arrived home at the same time -- Clara was promoted to Top Secret Researcher! In celebration, she had a banana split.
Verne had a friend over -- guy named Randy. I thought it might be touch and go for a while, but they actually got along pretty well.
Martina arrived home with her first A+! :D Ah, aren't they all so proud. . . .
She also came home with a friend of her own, Chloe. They started off on the wrong foot with a rejected game of Mary Mack, but quickly got back on track.
After saying goodbye to Chloe, Martina played darts, Clara made Medicine to get her Logic up, Verne did his homework and Jules chatted with his pal Orlando.
Buford also came by and stole the paper. Damn Tannens.
Doc came home from work around nightfall -- no promotion, but we'll keep at it. Martina was very happy to see Daddy again. :)
-D: Awwww.-
-VD2: *beam*-
Verne cooked up a berry pie for everyone -- Jules had to decline because he'd had a T-Bone steak earlier, but everyone else enjoyed.
Then while the others got ready for bed, Doc enjoyed his telescope.
-DW: Will this version of us ever get abducted?-
Perhaps. No alien baby, though.
-RPD: Trust us, Vic, we can live with having the one.-
I figured. :p Anyway, onto the Eureka update. I was sick of making nightclubs and such, so it was off to Peabody's Farm Park! Let's take a look:
Wide Shot with Roof -- as you can see, we have a main fenced area, with a tree plantation and one building for bathrooms. All outdoors here, people.
Over in the far side we have a barbeque area. Then there's swings for the kids, a bonfire and hookah-bubbles for the adults, and a "farmer's market." Also some chess boards and such.
Close-up of the bathroom. This place is so family-friendly, I even added changing stations! Dunno if toddlers can actually GO Downtown, but it's the thought that counts.
The tree grove. Bit of a bitch to get them into such neat lines, but I like the effect. I spread bark terrain out under the trees, because, let's face it, with all that shadow, there ain't gonna be a lot of grass.
-DW: Fairly extensive session.-
-RPD: What are your plans for the weekend?-
Buy a new computer. I hate wanting to throw the VAIO through a wall. Problem is, most good gaming PCs are pretty expensive, and I really only play the Sims. . . . I'll ask around at Best Buy and Circuit City and stuff.
-D: Let's look at this logically -- what exactly do you need in this computer?-
-->Big hard drive
-->Decent graphics card (or at least compatibility with the one I've got, which is pretty good -- the graphics have remained quite pretty)
-->WordPerfect or similiar word processing program (would prefer Wordperfect)
That's all I can think of right now.
-D: A basic home PC. That shouldn't be too bad.-
Yeah, I know. I just wish the Sims didn't suck up your requirements so much. Don't worry though, boys -- hell or high water, I'm playing your birthday in Sims. I think I'll have Gypsy of Twin Oaks Park invite the gang out, then pop over to Doc's lot to give the gifts.
