*Pokes At Edits*

crossover_chickWorking on Chapter 10 of "V.D." and Chapter 5 of "The Gift and the Curse." Tweaking things here and there, adding dialogue and stuff. The usual.
-VD: Ahh, progress.-
-OD: *tentacles cheep cheerily* Good to see our story getting some attention again.-
Well, it is my current FF.net WIP, so I should give it some love. And poor VampDoc's story got derailed by Christmas, so -- yeah.
-VD2: How about your normal writing? You did skip two days.-
It was quiet enough in the store for me to make up for lost time -- 2 pages each on "Cinder-Marty" and "Corpse Mask."
-TTV: *nods approvingly* Where are we?-
Clara's getting the carriage and stuff ready for the ball, Victoria's just about to stumble upon Barkis finding the mask.
-TTV: *nervous*-
Don't worry, she'll be fine.
Anyway, feeling pretty good at the moment. Been fiddling around with some of my Christmas presents. My stupid CD player is acting up, so I can't hear Voltaire just yet, but I did get my Minimates free -- they're currently posing on the shelf next to their Kubrick counterparts. Jennifer's next to Lorraine, since they don't have counterparts. Also unwrapped my Girl Genius works cards -- very pretty. Phil's in there! :D The cards also feature some earlier art for some characters -- Agatha's friend Sleipner is blond, for instance, and Abner and Pix from the circus look COMPLETELY different.
-TD: Very odd. At least Agatha and Gil are the same.-
Yeah, I know. Early art is weird.
Of course, I'll have even more stuff to play around with tomorrow -- it's my birthday! The big 2-1!
-D: Legal drinking age.-
Yeah, big whoop. I don't ever want to drink.
-D: *nodnods* I can understand that.-
-DW: Planning anything special?-
Eh, besides sneaking in some BTTF at some point and maybe playing some Alice in the morning? Not really.
-RPD: Hopefully you'll do better this go-round.-
I just need to figure out how you grab hold of the ropes! Stupid camera. . . .
-RPD: *patpat* You just need some practice.-
Yeah, I know.
-HD: *looks torn* On the one hand, I don't like the angst. On the other hand, it inspires Wonderland thoughts.-
Yoooou cannot eeescaaape the aaaaangst
-HD: *throws a scone at me*-
-DW: She's more obsessed with El Goonish Shive and the "Doc adopted Marty" universe at the moment.-
Yeah, have no clue why. I'd really like my obsessions to have a point, rather than just come out of nowhere and throttle me.
