Sorry it's so late, I ponied up the cash for Telltale, and -- well, it's harder (and much more hilarious) than I thought. But here it is, "A Week of Secundus Christmas":
Day Five: Snow
“Unh. Mornings. . . .”
Victor yawned and opened his eyes. Another day was upon him. Another day for helping Alice tend the house, visiting his dear friends, and perverting science to his insane whims. He sat up, put on his dressing gown and slippers, and opened the curtains.
To see dark brown flakes drifting by the window.
Victor blinked, startled. What the – He leaned closer to the glass. The flakes looked a bit like snow, but the color precluded that. Unless it was extremely dirty snow. Or ash – had something blown up? He wouldn’t be surprised, things exploded weekly in Secundus. Curiosity overtaking him, he opened the window and stuck his hand out to catch a few of the flakes.
The flakes were cold against his hand, and melted much like snowflakes. Victor looked at the blobs of brown against his hand. Funny – it looked almost like melted choco–
Alice woke up a few moments later, to see Victor with his fingers in his mouth and a shocked expression on his face. “Victor? Bloody hell, why do you have the window open?” she said, snuggling deeper into the covers. “It’s freezing!”
“It’s ice cream.”
“What?”
“It’s ice cream.” Victor gestured toward the brown flakes falling outside. “It is snowing ICE CREAM.”
Alice stared at him for a moment. Then she laughed. “Oh, for – nobody told you? This is Flint Lockwood’s gift to the town. Every Christmas season he has it snow ice cream. It’s the one time of year he’s willing to risk a city-wide food weather event. Apparently this was such a big hit back on his home island that he couldn’t resist trying it here.”
Victor looked at her a moment, then back out the window. Alice sat up a little, even though that just exposed more of her to the cold air. “Victor?”
Victor turned back to her, a huge smile plastered across his face. “This is going to be the best Christmas ever.”
Alice laughed again. “Good. Now please close the window before we get frostbite.”
Come on, how could I put Flint Lockwood and his food-making machine and not take advantage of the ice cream snow? Besides, it's something that Victor would be all over. The idea has been in my head ever since I added the CwaCoM cast to the crossover -- this is just the first place it saw fruit. Also, this the only other one that features just Victor and Alice -- it's group Christmas celebrations for our next two entries.
I'll talk more about the Telltale Game later -- let me just catch up on my other stuff.
