Though I still have a few that -- well, I like them, but I don't know if I can fit them to any of the prompts. So -- anyone want to give me a hand? Here are the two stories that aren't assigned yet:

Doc noticed Marty’s smirk the instant the teen showed up at his door. “What are you so amused by?” he asked as he let his friend in.
“I’m about to get the easiest A I’ve ever gotten in a class,” Marty announced as he entered the living room, pulling his backpack off his shoulder.
“Oh, you are, are you?” Doc said, watching the young man plop down in front of the coffee table. “Are you about to grill me for some help on your science homework?”
“No,” Marty said with a shake of his head. “I don’t even think I need your help at all on this one. ‘Cause technically, you already gave it.”
Doc arched an eyebrow. “I’m not following, kid. What exactly is it you have to do, and for what class?”
“History class, Doc. The teacher wants us to write a paper describing what life would have been like for our great-great-grandfathers.”
Now it was Doc’s turn to smirk. “Oh, I see. I agree – easiest A you’ve ever gotten.”

“All right, Marty, I’m getting a little tired of your evasiveness,” Doc said, watching his young friend trying to figure out how to work the “e-reader” he’d been given. “When you brought us to the future, the last place I expected us to go was the library. What are you so eager to look up? You know how I feel about knowing too much about one’s own destiny.”
“Trust me, Doc, it’s not about me,” Marty said, finally getting the gadget to cooperate. “I’m looking up information on the hover conversion system. You know, flying cars.”
“Why? Are you that desperate to know when you can get your hands on one?”
Marty laughed. “No, not exactly – though that might be a nice side benefit. . . .” He searched the screens of text for a few moments, then grinned. “Knew it!”
“Knew what?” Doc said, now very curious. “What is it, kid?”
Marty highlighted some text and held out the reader. Doc leaned down and peered at it. The first hover conversion system was invented by Dr. Emmett L. Brown of Hill Valley in–
Doc stopped, both out of shock and a desire not to know the actual year. “I invent – wait a minute, Marty, what did you mean by you ‘knew it?’”
Marty smirked at him. “What, you forget the 1931 Expo so fast Doc? The instant I saw that car of yours actually take off, I knew you were the one.”
Doc looked at him for a moment, then glanced briefly back at the e-reader. A smile spread across his face. “You know, I think I still have all my old plans for that car. . . .”

And here are the available prompts:

  • Hours
  • Thunder
  • Solstice

Any fits you see, or ways to make one of them fit? Or should I just leave them here as standalones? Opinions appreciated!
