Yeah, It's Another EVL Update

What can I say, I like this family. I'm starting to understand why people like doing legacies now. Anyway, let's see what they're up to:
Wednesday

We certainly start this session off right -- Tom finds a new star and nets $500.

While Felicia catches herself a Jelly Butterfly after lots and lots of trying.

Awww, how cute -- mommy and daughter breakfast! Though Lorina, as usual, burns her muffin. I gotta get this girl some Cooking skill.

EVL, meanwhile, waters his extensive garden, still aiming for that Gold Gardening badge.

With Lorina off to school, Tom off to work, and Felicia taking a nap, EVL flies off to try and manage his store alone.

And he does pretty well -- probably because it's still such a small shop, and thus pretty easy to run. One day I will get him an employee, just so he doesn't have to go in every day.

He does mess up on this girl, though -- she bought one robot, then rejected all his other sales attempts. Ah well.

A double star gain makes up for that loss, anyway.

I still think Dazzle is hilarious/cute. They're always so adorable when they get all excited about buying random crap.

Long line means big profits! And that exterminator is apparently loaded.

Now at the top of his magical game, EVL can cast that most amazing of spells -- Tempus Interruptus! What does he use this dread power of stopping the clock for?

Restocking.
Seriously, though this looks like it'll be a DAMN useful spell for running the business. No more wasted time while he restocks! Neutral witches get all the best stuff.

The customers are a bit confused afterwards, but recover quickly and happily buy more robots.

Well, this explains her grouchiness -- sort of. Does that thought balloon mean she was hungry, or that she was tired? Hmm. Either way, it's something to consider to keep the customers happy.

Not that EVL really needs much help in that department, given his excellent salesmanship.

Crystal Vu drops by just as everything is sold -- EVL keeps the shop open a little longer to build a bit of relationship with her.

Ye GODS, what is the obsession with jump rope?! Well, at any rate, we got up to Rank 8 today -- I chose the "Convincing Personality" perk, which will make him an even more effective salesman. I gotta pass on a few of these perks to Tom at some point, since I plan for him to take over the business eventually.

Back at home, I decide to actually USE the energizer I have lying around, instead of just letting it sit there. Even warlocks with magical chairs can get a boost out of technology!

Lorina comes home with her first A+ -- good for you, Lorina! Incidentally, judging by her wants, I'm thinking she's going to be like her mom Aspiration-wise -- Family/Knowledge. She has lots of wants revolving around relatives and learning stuff.

Felicia does a little more bug hunting while EVL makes loads of robots.

Tom comes home with a need to be social, so I have him call up his friend Vamsi and make best friends.

Upstairs, Lorina gets a kick out of the toy robot -- I realized after having EVL make some that she should have one. And, actually, now that I think of it, Tom came with a Bronze Toy-Making badge -- maybe I should get a toy bench and have Tom make some toys for her and her coming siblings.

That is, if I can get him interested in doing anything besides blogging about his hobbies. He constantly has wants for that. Obsessed robot is obsessed.

Felicia, meanwhile, takes advantage of the Throne of Light to learn Lifelong Happiness, which both fulfills a want and hopefully means she'll be able to stay happier for longer. (The Guide says it helps slow Aspiration decay, anyway.)

And in the early morning hours of Thursday, EVL too fulfills a major want -- that Gold Gardening badge is his!

He promptly uses it to talk about fish to a plant. *shrug* It got it up into the Thriving range, so I'm cool with it.
Upcoming events in their lives:
-->New child (Either William or Nell, depending on sex)
-->Having Tom make toys for the kids
-->Getting into the Gardening Club ('cause why not?)
-->Getting the kids into private school
-->Getting Felicia Gold Gardening and Pottery badges
-->Getting EVL a Gold Fishing Badge
-RPD: I applaud your ambitions, but -- why that last one. You've said before they don't eat.
True, but I like getting stuff, and he's already got the bronze. Besides, maybe one of their future kids will be the one who wants to run a grocery. In that case, I'll gift him/her with lots of fish and produce so he/she can stock up before starting.
-RPD: Ahh, and short-circuit that problem you have with William Van Dort in Inkwell Secundus -- not being able to fish through much of winter.-
Indeed. Making the most of all this good fortune the parents are having.
Anyway, not much else to report (exceedingly gloomy day out here), and I think supper's up in just a moment, so later!
