Major Toy Update!

I got my Alice figure! :D Although I nearly missed it -- would you believe that, on my first go-round the store, I missed the shelf she and her compatriots were on because I didn't look up far enough? >.< No matter -- I went back while waiting for Dave & Busters to open and spotted her that time. They actually had all four of the current figures, but the only one I really wanted was Classic Alice. (Though I may ask for Hysteria Alice as a Christmas gift. We'll see.)
Anyway, I actually owe you guys a lot of toy photos, and I finally have new batteries for my camera, so have a toysplosion!

This is the current set-up of my BTTF minimate shelf -- and look, three DeLoreans!

Here's an overhead view of the DeLorean I didn't have before -- the Part II flyer that isn't mysteriously partially transparent. (Have NO idea what the logic was behind that. WTF Diamond Select?)

And here's the Doc that came with it. I think he's supposed to be wearing the "trains" shirt, but apparently the painters didn't want to put the pattern on it. Ah well.

Ponies! This is the pony my parents grabbed for me at Block Island. She's a McDonald's toy, apparently supposed to be attached to a keychain somehow (got me how it works). She's a G4 pony (meaning she's from "Friendship is Magic") exclusive to the toy line (meaning we've yet to see her on the show). Her name's Lily Blossom -- I call her Lily McBlossom to acknowledge her McDonald's roots.

And here's the first "beach pony" my parents found! I have no idea what generation she's from, nor what kind of toy she is (though I'm pretty sure she's McDonald's too). She looks to be a pony named Starsong from the research I've done. I call her Cherry Starsong because we had to replace her missing mane with red thread.

Cherry and Lily chilling together.

Here we get into the good stuff -- Alice! Here she is freshly out of the package.
And there I thought for a long while she'd stay, because she was held in by the TWIST TIES FROM HELL. Not even kidding -- those suckers were twisted and folded and tucked into Gordian knots. I eventually went the Alexander the Great route of cutting them all into tiny little bits just to get her and her weapons out!

After finally being wrestled out of her package, here's Alice on her stand. She's got a weird rubber band-type thingy holding her Vorpal Blade tightly to her hand -- I'm not bothering to remove it at the moment. She has awesome poses, but she does seem to have a bit of a balancing issue, even on the stand -- tends to tip forward. (Could be just the way I've got her legs, though.)

Close up of her face -- pretty Alice is pretty. :)

Here's her Pepper Grinder -- this is the Level 4 version, thus the "angry boar" mode. It's a pretty good likeness of the game's.

The Hobby Horse, however, could use a little work. It's also the Level 4 version, as evidenced by the fact it's a unicorn. In the game, however, it's white with a silver bridle and blazing eyes. *wonders if she could ask Mom to help repaint it*

Here's a comparison shot of AMA Alice and A:MR Alice. The AMA toy is really more of a statue that has some very limited posing ability. I much prefer A:MR's, even if she does tip over sometimes.

Alice and Victor in a hands-holding pose -- I first saw that they could do this via a pal on tumblr, Devil Climax. His hand fits very well in hers!

This one was inspired by a favorite pic by Fallen Darkly on tumblr. XD Although Alice has actually got the knife in the wrong hand, and at least one of Victor's hands is supposed to be above his head. . . Best I could do. Still funny.

The current pose, more or less -- Alice leads Victor through the dangers of Wonderland!
Whew! That should fulfill all my picture debts. Now to prep for another night of "To Boldly Flee." :D
