crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)

Me, yesterday: Yes! I think I've got a workable timeline for "Forgetting You!" :D I'll totes have Alice confront Bumby on November 5th, because I like that sort of thing. (November 5th -- when her house burned down, by the bye)

Guy on the American McGee Forums today: Hey, my friend found this thing that's apparently a dummied out "bad ending" sort of thing for Alice. Also, it's got a date included on it.

Me: ASKJLADJ;FAPWJE'ALSJD

To be fair, I of course have no idea if what said guy posted is real. I wouldn't have any idea where to look in the game code to confirm this. And even if it is real, it's dummied out and thus not canonical. But it STILL makes me wonder "weeelll, should I. . ." *facepalm*

If any of you are curious, here's the post -- or, well, the first half (the second half is the poster asking if Alice really died, which, uh, I think would be obvious):

:my friend told me that he fond a file GFxUI. int in the game folder
and there's a Death Obituary :

FlashUI_Death_Ch6_W1_Main_Date = December 13
FlashUI_Death_Ch6_W1_Main_Text_Up = Young Woman tumbles under train at Squishington Station
FlashUI_Death_Ch6_W1_Main_Text_Low = Witness Dr. Angus Bumby: 'It was suicide!'"

As you can see, this would make the date of confrontation December 13th. I do sort of like the "Squishington Station" bit. I may use that as Alice dialogue at some point.

Aaanyway, fairly quiet Sunday, with some pretty shitty weather. I swear, we've only had two decent days in October thus far. *sigh* Still, I got some writing done, and progressed further in my Alice quest:

Alice Progress: Up to Checkmate In Red, "American McGee's Alice"

This officially puts me past the halfway point of the game, incidentally. I'm think I'll be done sometime next week. Then it's onto "Alice: Madness Returns!" And it's horrible, horrible twisting of time and space. (Shouldn't blame the game, though -- my own fault for deciding to go with those time/date/location stamps at the top of each chapter. Still, this timeline is starting to rank up there with Alice's magical sticky paper.)
