crossover_chickA day of explosions, both of the literal and emotional kind. Also a day of exposition! Doc and Marty dig out the car from the abandoned mine while Doc:
A) goes on about how much he loves Jules Verne (setting up how we'll know Clara is "The One")
B) provides technobabble from the past via letter on how they'll get the car working again (1955 Doc's contribution is to make a "how things have changed" joke)
C) talk about how he always wanted to be a cowboy as a kid and how the Old West sounds like a wonderful way to spend his retirement years.
Of course, immediately after that, the pair discover 1985 Doc's grave and discover his retirement years have been cut very short. And then it's off to the library to confirm that it is indeed the Doc from 1985, learn about which Tannen Marty will be facing, and see the McFlys Marty will be meeting! I believe the timeline says this overlaps into tomorrow, so I'll do a little more on this then.
As for me -- I've become WAAAY too obsessed overforgotten_vows's icon situation. @.@ I spent almost a hour trying to search out a good clumsy icon or gif that maybe could be shrunk -- all to no avail. My problem is, I kind of want one that's animated, but the only ones I can find or get are either a) too small, or b) too dark. :( And still frames just don't look as good. Bleh. At least I've made a start at actually giving him journal entries.
On the plus side, NaNo went very well today!

Keeping up! :D Although I strongly suspect this one's going to be another I don't finish under wordcount. But we shall persevere! I'm a lot closer to the end now than I was before!
Right now, though, I really do have to sum upforgotten_vows's backstory so he can actually have journal entries. Also, hey, anonymoose_au, do you still play hart_on_sleeve on here? If so, Doc, Marty, Victor, Alice, and Dee should friend him. :)
