Sims Post! OMG!

Yes, the other day I actually went and played Sims again! Who would have thunk it? To be fair, part of the reason I played was because I'd recently gotten some new downloads and I wanted to check them out. You'll see an example of the best download at the end of the post. For now, though, who wants to check in with Emmett Victor Liddell and family of Steampunk Gulch?

We open on robots being adorable with toddlers. Tom really needed the social interaction, and Nell needed to get to know him better, so -- nursery rhyme!

EVL does some piano while Tom makes toys.

EVL hasn't been spending much time with his younger daughter (making robots constantly will do that), but hopefully some tickles will help fix that.

Ahhh, a nice hot bath on a cold winter's day. Just the thing, eh Nell?

I would say Lorina's new friend Gordon Nott is inappropriately dressed for this weather, but I've seen real-life boys hanging around in clothes like this at school.

Lorina: You know, if you really had decided to eat from that plate of rotten food, you and I couldn't be friends anymore.

Which would be a shame, as apparently she finds him hot. Teenage romance ahoy?

EVL: Um, hi. Who are you and why are you at my daughter's birthday?

Gordon: I am Gordon Nott, and I am here to PAR-TAY!

EVL: *blows out the candles and rids me of toddlers for a while, thank God*

And so goodbye baby Nell. . .

And hello child Nell! As I believe I've stated before, she is unfortunately a clone of her sister. Fortunately different hairstyles do make a difference.

Nell: *races to get cake before the "guests" eat it all*

Felicia comes home just a bit too late to see her younger daughter grow up, but she gets a hug regardless. Awww.

"What's your sign?" is a legitimate question in Simland. It appears Gordon is an Aquarius.

Who wants to flirt! I shut him down for the moment, though. While they could be cute together, they only became real friends today. Better to go out on an actual date first.

Reworking the upstairs! Nell's room has been converted into a "big girl" room, and I've moved most of the toys into there. Lorina now has a desk and computer of her own instead!

Which is good, because she just broke the downstairs one.

Also, Nell doesn't understand that she has her OWN bed to sleep in. *shakehead* Sims. . .

Lorina: Soo. . .think the great Voice In The Sky is gonna try for an alien kid next?
It is a temptation. . .but to prevent overcrowding, I think Lorina's gonna be in college before I attempt for the next kid. Also, Nell's OTH is Games -- of course.

And we end this update on Tom finally fulfilling his big-ticket want of getting a silver Gardening badge! Yaaay! Now to get him to Gold. . .

Well, no, actually we end this update with a reworking of Wonderland Park, thanks to this cool Vale of Tears Alice Statue! Doesn't it look awesome? and despite its size, it has a really small placement "footprint," so it's easy to place! You can get it here. *collects those mushrooms while she's there*
My other downloads? A complete set of Alice dresses! -- which don't look all that great in-game, sad to say. Bleh. Can't win 'em all.
We'll see if I can get back into playing Sims on a semi-regular basis over the break. For now, I have fanfic to do!
