Happy Friday the Thirteenth! Have a chapter of "Forgetting You" to celebrate! Maybe it doesn't deal with a certain someone being "Thirteened," but it's the Dollhouse, so that's more than creepy enough:
Chapter 22 AO3
Chapter 22 FF.net

And to help wash that down, a bit of angsty sweetness:

Day Thirteen:
“Miss Strickland? I just – Miss Strickland!”
Victor darted to his employer’s side, eyes wide with shock. “What happened? Can you speak?”
“Yes,” Edna choked out. “I just – I thought it was merely a cough–”
“I knew you were ill,” Victor muttered, helping her over to the fire. “You stay there and I’ll be right back.”
Edna nodded and watched him dash out the door. Dear man – how had she treated him so poorly for so long? Just a year ago he surely wouldn’t have been half as attentive to her needs –
Oh. That’s why her future tombstone had seemed so premature.

Yes, it's a sequel to last year's Multiverse Christmas Carol! :D Showing how the good future has gotten Edna a few more years in her life. I had in mind the Bum Review of A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey and how he mocked that Scrooge seemed shocked an old man like him would be dead in the future. I figured I'd put a little twist on it -- Edna knows she's old and is probably not too long for this world, but she felt that her tombstone popped up a little too soon. Here we see why -- had she not reformed, she would have brushed this off as merely a bad cough, and Victor -- not having the same amount of Christmas spirit toward her -- would have let her. Thus her illness would have gotten worse until she died -- not that Victor would have noticed or cared much, since around the same time Tim would sicken and die as well. Here, in the good future, Edna and Tim will both be getting the help they need. So it's a bit sad, but ultimately it's all about the good feelings of the season. :) Besides, I wanted to bring this one back at least once.

Today was kind of a tired day for me -- I really dislike waking up before the sun. Ah well, I have a weekend off now. . .and I HAVE been getting lots of good advice for the job search and resumes and things like that. I'm feeling a lot more hopeful about actually finding something. Though I'm really looking forward to the interview tips after the holiday -- I feel like I really need those. Mom and I also have a project lined up for next weekend -- mini gingerbread houses! :D Seriously, these things are so cute -- you can put them on mugs! Perhaps we can make a whole mini-village with different little candies and suchlike. I'm looking forward to it. :D

Right now, though, I have other stuff to get to, so later, all!
