Let's have a look at my DragonVale Park as of about 10:00 tonight, shall we?


This is Island One, Electric Trees. You've seen this, and not much has changed besides a couple of decorations. This is our Lightning and Plant island.


Island Two, Flaming Rocks -- Fire and Earth. That thing on the side is the Perch of Kairos, the first piece of which I recently finished assembling. And I already got three bits of the second piece racing. :D Soon the Legendary Dragon shall be mine!


Island Three, Elemental Sports -- the Colosseum, the Dragon Track (which I use constantly), and habitats for each of the Four Classic Western Elements -- Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. I also plan to add Olympus habitats and dragons at some point, because appropriate.

Island Four, WTF Are All These Rocks Doing Here -- ah, Frozen Waves. I plan to focus on Cold and Water dragons here. Once all those freaking stones are cleared out (seriously, DragonVale. . .)

I'm currently Level 18 in my park, having unlocked Metal dragons recently. I will probably buy my first and incubate him overnight so I can get started on hybrids later. I've spent most of the day racing (big gains today were food, the final shard of the Chronometer, and a few shards of the time claw), getting my fourth island (or fifth, counting the Gemstone Island), and waiting for Geo and Tidepool to finish breeding another River dragon (I was hoping for a mud.) Currently I've got Spring and Borogoves (Plant & Air) breeding something -- I'm not sure what. Taking about 7 hours, I believe. . . *looks up* Think I'm getting a Pollen. Acceptable. I also need to get a Large Air Habitat, but that can wait until the Metal habitat is built and I've gotten more monetary reserves. Actually I just need more habitats in general, but -- well, I'll figure THAT out once my Frozen Waves island is clear of those freaking rocks.


And now I have tumblr stuff to attend to, but speaking of which: Forgotten Vows and Butterfly Boy are baffled by devARTists (I'm dead serious about that, by the by. It confuses the hell out of me too.)

Heyo, you know how there was an update today? Did it break the game for you? It keeps crashing for me every time I try to load my park.

I can get into my park (and my icon's changed from the holiday one), but the text is all weird-looking. I've done nothing more than collect money, end the Fire event at the Colosseum (got a Silver), and put Vulcan in the Earth event. So it's glitchy, but it's not full-on crashing, thankfully.

I've tried about ten times and reset my iPod twice, and the bar gets almost all the way loaded and then it crashes. The really weird thing is the first time I tried to load it, you know how it'll show little tips on the loading screen? It just said something like "tip.text10" instead.

I got that once during an early load today -- tip9.text or something like that. Still got into the game, though. It did glitch out on me twice last night, but that could have been me being overeager to race my dragons. I hope whatever they're doing either completes or gets fixed soon!

Me too! I can't gift you a gem until they do. :( And I don't know how to contact Backflip with a bug report.

Looks like one possible solution is to delete DV and reinstall it. I might have to do that... they say that the data will be stored on their server but I'm still a bit worried about losing all my dragons. :(

I found a support page on their site -- I'm a little nervous about doing the delete/reinstall thing myself. I've come a pretty long way in just a few weeks. :(

I'm reinstalling now, so I'll let you know how it goes. I've got my fingers crossed... I've been playing this game for like a year and a half and have at least one of every dragon (except two dark hybrids), so I really don't want to lose any!

Still crashes. :( So not only did it not fix it, but I don't get the reassurance of knowing my park is okay.

I opened a support ticket and according to them, it's a memory issue, so I deleted a few other apps and was able to launch.

New font looks ugly as shit though.

Well, joy. At least you were able to launch.

I sent them a ticket too asking about the text -- it does have to do with the new version of DragonVale, and they're working on a fix for the loading-screen glitch. I refuse to believe this text is the permanent new one though -- it just doesn't look right, and certain letters keep glitching out.

I WAS just able to visit your park, though, and even collect party-hat cash. And I got your gem gift, thanks.
