I find myself with another DragonVale dilemma today. Mainly, in my attempts to get an Amethyst, I've gotten instead another Sun. Or, well, I will be getting one -- Gana and Echo are still making it. Why is this a dilemma? Well, because I'm not sure what to do with the egg. I've been trying to avoid duplicates -- on the other hand, this is an epic dragon that makes a TON of cash when adult. But back on the first hand, if I want to keep it, I have to build the big takes-five-million habitat. And I know the egg itself sells for two million. . . Well, I suppose I have a couple of days to figure it out. Part of me just balks at the idea of how expensive this damn habitat is. . .then again, everything gets incredibly expensive at this point. And I could use another big money earner. . .

I am building another Earth habitat for Maurice, Biff, and Ent to live in on the Plant/Water island. After that's one, I'll have almost everybody in their ideal habitats, and the rest can live in less-than-ideal ones while I build up my funds even more. Gotta make the moolah if I want more dragons and more room for dragons! I'd like to at least give the Olympus ones a shot. So many dragons, not enough time. . .

See, that's why I ALWAYS carry pads with me (I hate tampons with a passion). I have a bag in my car, a bag at work, a bag in the upstairs bathroom, a bag in the downstairs bathroom and a few in the baby's diaper bag. I'd keep some in Ed's car if I didn't think he'd flip out, lol. Granted one bag (28 count...for some reason the 32 count bags have disappeared from stores) won't last being stranded in 1885 for a few months to a year, but it's a start. :p

In other news, the Ember came with the name Mimsy and the Forge came with the name Bruce. I kept both. So now my First Island is complete. I'll take a picture over the weekend (or Thursday if we wind up snowed in again) when I can get on Photoshop.

Still no Amethyst on my end and no Blue Fire either. Come on Helen and Monty...there are only five dragons you can make, cut me a break! And you Crystal and Volt...I understand that you can make nine but February is almost half over so get with the program!!

As for the extra Sun...if it were me (and I've already bought the Large Sun) I'd still sell it. But I also have the Rainbow, Winter and Double Rainbow earning me big cash, so don't go by me. :p

I can use Kairos again today so I'm gonna to speed some stuff up.

HALLELUJIA OR HOWEVER IT'S SPELLED! I had to get Crystal and Volt both to Level 15 but I'm FINALLY getting the Amethyst. So in 28 hours I can concentrate on some profit breeding for a while. With that, I'll have gotten all of the currently Limited Dragons I know of so I won't have to worry until a) they release another one for whatever reason or b) March.

I guess this means that before March I'm going to have to save up enough money to grow enough treats to get both my River Dragon and my eventual Iceberg Dragon immediately to Level 15 before I even start trying for the Aquamarine Dragon. *looks at Wiki* 655,340 treats total each from Level 1 to 15 so 1,310,680 treats for the both of them. Well, a little less because Yiruma is already at Level 9. So I'll need 65,000,000DC max for 13 Bean Stalks (100,000 each). Ouch. But if I start right away, I should be okay to get that amount by March.

Light and Plant seems the way to go even though the breeding times are long (9 and 13 hours respectively), but once I get the two outcomes, Meadow Dragons sell for 2,500,000DC and Luminous Dragons sell for 2,800,000DC.

Second best is Metal and Metal but since I only have one Metal I can do Metal and Magnetic (with their stupid-long breeding times for Copper and Electrum...20 and 47-and-a-half hours...) which will give me Magnetic and Copper that both sell for 1,150,000DC and (once I have one for my own) Electrum that will sell for 4,500,000DC. I'll start that when I eventually get my Blue Fire Dragon.

I'm no fan of tampons either -- and I commend your thoroughness. I've had the curse catch me on the bus and in the middle of the mall, and having to make an emergency run to CVS with bloody pants isn't my idea of a good time. I try to keep at least one emergency pad on me in my bag or backpack should I need it.

My Forge came with the name Seam -- I changed it to Presto in honor of Doc's homemade Presto Logs. :P I threw Biff and Attar together -- they're either making yet another Tree or a Smoke (hoping for the latter so it has a decent sale price). Attar did get me a Gold in the Air event, though -- Tempest is competing in the Cold.

I haven't been trying for any of the opposites -- I just want this Forest out of the way. And then I'll probably start trying for Coral, Willow, and Magnetic to check off all of the dragons on that chart. And maybe see if I can snag an Olympus of some description. They really do seem cool.

This is a good point -- would it be better for me as a continual money-maker despite the expense? I still have some time, of course -- Gana and Echo aren't even done breeding yet.

Hooray! *highfive* I'm very happy for ya! :D Hopefully I can join you in having at least one Gemstone dragon before the month is out.

Holy crap -- that is a looooot of treats. O.o I'm slowly bringing up my own stores, but I haven't grown any Beanstalks yet -- just one instance of Omega Squash. I think I need more money if I ever want to think of Beanstalks. . .maybe I should keep that Sun dragon. They do earn a looot of money when they're full-grown.

Wow -- I haven't even gotten a Light yet! On the other hand, I've already decided the best course of action is to wait for the Large Light habitat to unlock so I can store more Light dragons in one. By the time I get to that point, I should have enough money to keep a Light dragon happy. Nice to know they make some good-selling eggs, though. Incidentally, Hails sell for a WEIRD amount, don't they? What the hell is with 117,000? O.o

I did buy the cheap Plant Habitat just for the two I'll get from breeding Light and Plant. They'll get moved later.

Holy cow -- I can barely remember what that little one looks like. I know it's been barely two months, but already those early levels feel like ancient history.

Oh, it's just like the large one only it has one tree instead of two and holds two dragons instead of four. And it only costs 100DC. :)

Though I know what you mean. It seems like just yesterday I was looking up the game on a whim, lol.
