Another Quiet One

Punctuated near the end by my parents having an argument, which always puts me on edge. Don't ask me why, it just does. So let's keep it quick today:

-->I've hatched two new additions for my DragonVale park -- Europa the Moon Dragon (came with the name Apollo, but as that's a SUN god if I remember correctly) and Foamy the Coral dragon (came with that name, found it cute). I've also started work on a new Large Metal habitat so I can move more dragons into their "ideal" habitats. By the end the only dragon not in its ideal habitat will be Army. Not too shabby.

-->After a lot of failures, I'm finally breeding an Amethyst -- my first Gemstone dragon! :D I'm quite looking forward to it. I've also got Jethro and Doc making a Magnetic, which will clear out the dragons on the chart. I might spend a little time trying for rarer dragons after this, like a Winter or a Seasonal. I still want some Olympus dragons too.

-->Fic update: Chapter 5 of "There's Always Tomorrow" is live. I also tweaked the very beginning of Chapter 4 to make up for a research fail on my part.

-->Got Forgotten Vows in a madhouse meme with potential to go somewhere interesting. We'll see.

So you're basically the only person I can share this with.

I didn't know about the Moonstruck dragon until the day they announced Last Call because I've been having so much trouble even getting the game to load. So over the last three days I blew like 150 gems (not purchased, meticulously farmed and saved up over months) trying to get it. I even had a double rainbow fail, which at 60 hours is probably the longest breeding time in the entire game.

So I emotionally gave up on getting it, and the moment I did, GUESS WHAT MY BREEDING TIMER SEZ.

Yeowch -- that sucks. :( *patpat* And yeah, I think I saw that one in your nursery when I went hunting for party-hat cash at your park. That must have been painful --

But w00000! :D :D :D I'm so glad you managed to sneak it in! *highfive* Now hopefully the game will start cooperating with you more now. *shakes finger at it* Bad game, bad.

I don't know if it's been removed yet, but I feel like I just squeaked under the wire with this one. The only limited I ever missed and had to wait to go around on was the Opal dragon, and fortunately I got it two months later in the BEB event.

And now I have a second double rainbow, so that's nice I guess.

I'm starting to think they did some sort of "like this if you want it around longer" thing on Facebook (they did that with BEB, I saw) -- either that or they just felt bad for everyone and let the removal date slip a tad. I'm glad you got it, though. :)

Bruce won a Silver (better than I thought he would, actually, given he's only Level 4). Threw Volt into Air.

I still see that effer in the Market but if you guys got a Last Call then I should be soon, so I don't forsee it still being available in 34 hours.

I'll be using Kairos tomorrow to speed things up a little. Then I'll just go back to moneymaking for a while. I want a nice chunk of change saved up so I can buy mass treats and try for the March birthstone as soon as it goes live; I also need to hatch an Iceberg for that so I'll probably do that once my Moonstruck fail is done if the thing isn't still in the Market.

I'll also need a good amount saved up for buying and clearing the Fifth Island, but I'll put that on hold for a bit.

I think I got a silver yesterday too, though I don't remember who with -- oh, right, Geo! I've got Mercury in the Colosseum now, we'll see what he brings home.

I'm starting to wonder if they did one of those "like this if you want the dragon to stick around a bit longer" things on Facebook. At the very least, it sounds like you still have a sliver of a shot.

Kairos is good for that. And that's a good idea. I think I have both the necessary dragons for March. . . *checks* Yup -- River/Iceberg. So it'll just be a matter of leveling the suckers up. Actually, it looks like I've got all the necessary dragons for the monthly Gemstones now. That's encouraging. :) I just need a couple of Opposites (Frostfire and Plasma) for the "around for a few months" ones. Currently, though, my focus is on getting more Treasure dragons and that damn Forest (it's worth a gem, and I'd like to just get it out the way). Flitvine and Biff are making a Moss instead though, bleh.

*checks* Not that I can see. At any rate, it's gone from the Market last I looked a couple minutes ago - yeah, the Wiki says it was removed. I hope I'm not the only one who missed out. Maybe I'll have better luck if I get the dragons to Level 15 even if it means a bigger chance at getting the Epics (and I won't believe anyone who's said they got whatever dragon it is at a low level anymore).

Ah, well. Moneymaking time. And this fail better be a Seasonal. *glares at DV* Having to wait another 31 hours just to find out what it is is annoying. :/

Awww, I see. I guess they were just late in removing it. . . Bleh. *patpat* Well, if they keep doing Bring 'Em Back, you'll have another chance at the end of the year. And yeah, that's probably true. (I wouldn't totally discount it -- weird strokes of luck do happen -- but it's always better to believe those with bigger levels, yeah.)

Yup. *fingers crossed* And yeah, I'm sure it is. But that's how they get you to spend gems, and then pay for new ones.
