Off And On Snow
Feb. 27th, 2014 10:18 pmThe best sort of day! I was going to go out and fetch potato chips for my lunch, but seeing it start to snow (and when it was on, it tended to be fairly big flakes) put an end to those plans pretty quickly. Basically I stayed in and caught up on a bunch of stuff instead. Been watching Linkara's LP of Pokemon Omnicron -- which is actually pretty interesting. I've never really been a Pokemon person, beyond thinking a few of them were cute and that Victor should totally have Bug types, but I'm kind of getting caught up in his little quest. I've only watched two episodes so far, admittedly, but still -- fun stuff.
In DragonVale news, SNOOOOWFLAAAME hatched, and is currently bouncing around a fresh new Cold habitat on the Plant/Water island. I also added a Luminous, Glowy, and an Ember, Crackle, to my park. Embers are SO FREAKING CUTE -- and tiny! Even at level three Crackle's really really small. It's adorable. :D I've got Lumin with Elsa at the moment, and they're making a Glare. I was going to build the Light Boost tonight, but now I'm wondering if I should hold off for a bit -- until I figure out where I'm going to put my Dark dragons and their boost. Lights and Darks are negatively affected by each others' boosts, and I have a limited amount of space to work with right now. . . Maybe I'll hold off until I have a couple more islands and can spread things out a bit.
The most interesting part of my DragonVale day didn't come from the game, though -- it came from being selected to do a customer satisfaction survey. I ranked it high in most respects -- I do have a lot of fun with the game -- but I'm really hoping they implement some of the things they had under the "would you like to see any of this in the game?" section. They were suggesting things like new types of races, dragon fighting, petting dragons and teaching them tricks -- basically more dragon interactivity, which I'd love. Being able to play with my dragons instead of just stuffing them full of food and then collecting their cash would be really nice. Part of the reason I like the Dragon Track so much is because it offers me the chance to DO something with them. I also left a comment in their suggestions section that they should make the Colosseum more interactive. I'd like to actually do things in it, like maybe put a dragon through an obstacle course. Or it could be the arena for dragon fights. It would be great, and add a whole new level to the game.
Right now, though, the games I'm concentrating on are the RP kind. Time to check for tags -- later all!

Date: 2014-02-28 03:28 pm (UTC)Tundra won a Silver. Threw Crystal into Lightning. She already has a medal for Cold but w/e.
I wound up buying the Fifth Island last night on the way home (I actually didn't mean to, but it wouldn't let me back out, so...), so it'll be summoned by like 5pm today since it takes 24 hours. I should have the funds to clear it by then.
I want to get some dragons on the Metal Habitat on Island 2, so I need a Mine, Steel, Chrome and Meteor (Metal+Cold and Metal+Air). I think when Crue and Slythe are done I'm gonna go for them next. Dupes also sell for over a million and the longest wait is...well, 47 hours for a Silver but Ozzy and Spitz are only level 11 so I don't think I'll be getting that one (though they could surprise me...). So beyond that the longest wait is 14 hours for Steel and Meteor. Once I get those four, all I'll need for that Island is the Blue Fire and hopefully in my quest for a Spring dragon that might be one of the fails.

Date: 2014-02-28 04:26 pm (UTC)Heh -- I think I have Cecil in the Colosseum at the moment, doing the Cold event. Hopefully he'll get a Gold.
Ah, I see. Well, at least you'll have the money to clear it -- and hey, extra space is always nice, right? Sometimes I really wish I had the Sixth Island so I could spread out more.
I just hatched my Glare dragon -- came with the name Geoff, heh -- and I've got a Wind waiting in the wings. Lumin and Borogoves are making a second one (I was hoping for a Hypnotic). I'm also continually breeding Echo and Geo in hopes of an Olympus dragon -- they keep giving me Sonics. Ah well, at least those sell well. . . And hey, you never know -- I believe I got my first Sun with level 10 dragons. Good luck with getting all the ones you need, though! Meteors seriously look awesome.

Date: 2014-03-01 12:20 am (UTC)-.- I remember you complaining about these trees when you got the Fifth Island. I was actually short 1,500,000 but I should have that by later tonight.
Damn trees...
