Magic Egg Event Is Over

crossover_chickAnd I got a rather pleasant surprise when I logged in and got the "thanks for playing message" -- two, in fact:
-->While I'd managed to collect 945 eggs and turn them in (not long before the deadline, no less -- I only discovered they had to be turned into the Vernal Glass this morning, and I actually briefly snuck out my iPad during a quiet moment in class to do this), I'd forgotten that my snagging of the second Ovalith dragon had some bleedover. Result? Final egg count was 957, resulting in 192 gems! I am now officially almost at 500! :D
-->Ever since I discovered the Lost Island was pay-only, I kept going, "Well, all right, they're allowed to have a reward that's just for paying users -- but I wish they'd give us all the Vernal Glass!"
They did. :D I took mine and put it at the base of Kairos's perch, since that seemed the best place for it.
So DragonValing goes back to normal (though I may do a quick bit of dragon snaps farming before I hit the sheets tonight -- it's a little food for cheap), and the big thing I have to look forward to now is hatching my Solar Eclipse. I plan to put one of my Sun dragons into hibernation once it's ready, then bring it back out when the Solstice dragon becomes available in June, so I won't have a big habitat with just one dragon in it. Current plans are to try for one of the remaining Treasure dragons or a Rainbow, along with the Lapis. Orville and Fafnir keep giving me Crystals now, meh.
Had a housesitting shift tonight, will result in 15-20 bucks (she might round up the hour and a half I worked). Despite this, I got my tumblr dashboard all caught up and tags done, yay me. I also started work earlier on a new chapter for "In The Land of the Dead" -- and I mean a genuinely new chapter instead of editing an old one. I decided I actually wanted to SHOW the moment the Liddells heard about Alice going to Rutledge rather than just tell about it later. Think it'll make for a stronger story.
Also, played a little Hearthstone -- working on leveling up the Rogue. Played against somebody today as the Mage too -- and he/she was also using the Mage, so that was funny. XD I got my ass kicked again, but hey, I'm still learning. (Though I SWEAR I never get any of the good taunt cards.)

Date: 2014-04-29 12:33 pm (UTC)I don't want to do too much with my phone acting the way it is (the new one will hopefully be here on Thursday), so I'm just profit breeding. I did, however, manage to breed an Ooze but it's incubation time is 18 and a half hours, so it won't be hatching until tomorrow.
The Abyss came with the name Moby, which was cool but my first thought was of that movie The Abyss and so I named it Cameron after James Cameron.
The Solar Eclipse came with my Blazing's name of Boone, so I named it "Syzygy" (I call him Sy for short, lol) which according to Wikipedia is "a straight-line configuration of three celestial bodies in a gravitational system." and when solar and lunar eclipses occur.
So for now I'll just focus on profit breeding. I'm at 91mil right now. May as well build up the funds for when the Eighth Island is avaiable at 35 right? :p Nah I won't get it right away but HAVING the funds when I'm ready to get it will help, hahah.
On a completely unrelated note, I was reading TV Tropes last night for Who Framed Roger Rabbit because I don't know and I came accross this under Large Ham: "â—¦Judge Doom. He's plenty scary, but bless him, Christopher Lloyd just cannot play a role without lending it the piquant aroma of a lovely apple glaze. April dragon sweep, baby! :D And LOL, I like your thinking in naming the Abyss and the Solar Eclipse. Dunno what I'm going to name my SE, but I've still got about a day. . .
Nice -- and indeed. I've been keeping about the 115-120 mil mark now that I've built all the shrines. I'll probably be well-prepared for the Eighth Island once it becomes available. :)
*snork* He is a bit, isn't he? Maybe it's something about being theater-trained and focusing so much on those big old hand gestures and projecting your voice. . . I bet both of them would object to Doom as Doc's evil twin, even if it does have some elements of truth. XD
