My Ruby Breeders are Dicks

crossover_chickEither they're making an Epic I don't want, or they're making insanely-short fails that fill up my nursery. I ended up having to use gems to clear out a Sulfur so their next fail could go in. At least I could do that this morning and get the double fireflies for it. Currently got 718, which means I'm a good chunk of the way toward getting that Dusk dragon. Should have her by next weekend, I'm thinking. Particularly if that's another Double event.
As for dragons I have right now, I recently hatched my second Rainbow, who came with the appropriate name of Spectra. I don't normally do two of any dragon anymore, but you get an achievement for having two Rainbows, so. . . I also finally got an Ironwood! I've named him Razorwing, and he's living in a Metal habitat on the Opposites Island. Now I just have to grab him the Malachite as a companion. I should also try breeding, or maybe give the Wisp another go. . .so many dragons, so little time.
In Hearthstone today, I played Jaina, since I've gotten Quests involving winning with Mage or Shaman (Jaina's the former). Lost my first game to an Anduin who had a taunt deck of doom, but I won the second -- barely. Not only was it a bit of a tricky game -- at the end, the guy put Taunt on a minion that had Stealth, pretty much guaranteeing I couldn't attack him (you have to attack minions with Taunt, but you can't attack a minion with Stealth until IT attacks); but unluckily for him, I pulled Nightblade just then, whacked three damage off his four health with her battlecry (automatically happens, can't be blocked as far as I know), and then used Jaina's fireball (which is not constrained to attacking Taunt minions) to shave off that last point --
And just as he exploded, I got a disconnect message. Fortunately, when I tapped back in, my win HAD been recorded, so rage averted! It's interesting, though -- I'm actually really glad for those current quests because I've been itching to play some sort of wizard game and throw spells around on the iPad. I've looked in the app store, but haven't really found anything to my liking yet. Honestly, what I'd kind of like is DragonVale from the WIZARD'S perspective -- you play a trainee who learns how you make all those unstable portals and construct habitats and summon islands and stuff like that. Could be fun, if you do it right. I just want to be magic, I guess. :P
Not much else to report -- RP remains rather quiet, and I finished a round of edits on Chapter 2 of "In The Land of the Dead," so I seriously believe Chapter 1 shall go up soon. If nothing else, by this Friday for Forgotten Vows Friday on my tumblr. There was one moment of idiocy this morning, though -- my second bus nearly SKIPPED MY STOP. As in, the guy was about to go back on the highway instead of going to CCRI. If I hadn't yelled "Hey!" -- ugh. Just this last week. . .

Nothing good being bred. Like you, my breeders are being difficult. Kairos will help speed things along later.
Colosseum update later. Edit: Buck won a Gold, threw Ray into Lightning because Firefly.
Also, forgot the totals. DC: 72,010,658; G: 542: FF: 871 (will be 873 if the last two from Habitats decide to spawn).

Date: 2014-07-22 11:23 pm (UTC)Sounds good. I cleared off more Giant Trees today, and tomorrow I'll take care of the four Boulder Piles I actually saw -- turns out there was another I forgot to set up. On the plus side, that one will be ready for the double weekend, if there is indeed one. :)
Mine remain difficult too. Tis annoying. Just give me the Ruby damn it! >.<
