On Housesitting Duty Tonight
Aug. 19th, 2014 09:42 pmMoney is money, and I've got my trusty computer and iPad, so I'm good. Quiet night -- really just waiting for the all-clear to go home.
Ended up oversleeping a little this morning and getting a late start to the day -- however, I did toss some applications out into the world, and I finished up editing another chapter of "In The Land of the Dead," so that nice. Another quiet RP night is upon us, so I've been playing a lot of games, as per usual:
-->DragonVale: Nothing to report except that my Leaf's in the nursery and I'm working on Light/Dark hybrids. Once I've grabbed one of those opposites I'll start working on the Amber dragon, I think.
-->Hearthstone: Double loss today -- a really good game with Jaina in regular play more, where we both nearly exhausted our decks but his late-game cards trumped mine, and a very annoying loss to Loatheb in the Hunter Class Challenge. Having a deck that's nothing but Webspinners means you're totally at the mercy of the RNG Gods, and they were not kind to me today. I'll have to try again later.
-->Spellfall: Still stuck. That darn Level 8 giant-bat thing has too much health and too much attack! And the one time I beat him, I immediately died to the goblin that follows him! So basically I've been working on leveling up and increasing my money stores. Also got a new weapon -- the Ancient Sword. Has less Rune Slots than my Mythric Staff, but a great chance for critical hits, so that's nice. Also got some new runes and such, but I have to open up more slots to equip those, and those get progressively more expensive with each unlocking, so building up a good gold pile is important. Fortunate cleared lands generate cash! And that you can redo fights for extra experience and money. Grinding grinding grinding~
Anyway, I've got stuff to take care of (gathering party hat cash right now in the Vale), so I'll see you later!

Date: 2014-08-20 12:27 pm (UTC)The Amber (why I said Jade before I have no idea...) fail was a Moon and I'm getting yet another Moon or Rainbow next. >.<#
No luck on the Olympus dragons either. I may switch them out and go for a Cyclops again for a while.
Kairos will be ready tonight to help speed up these fails and I'm slightly over halfway to 43.

I'm thinking about hoarding as many gems as I can these next couple of months and using them to get the Topaz fast if it doesn't spawn by the time we leave for Florida. Only because I'm not sure how many chances I'll get to pull it up while there and I don't want to miss out on anything. Same thing with anything else they decide to release that's limited to just November. I'll have time since we leave the afternoon of the 10th. We'll see what happens.

Date: 2014-08-21 02:50 am (UTC)The least they could is give you a fail you haven't gotten yet. Are you still lacking in Double Rainbows?
I should try for the Olympus dragons again, I need a whole bunch of them. . . Still want to fill up that Dark habitat on my Opposites Island first, though. The Olympiads I'm trying for aren't going anywhere.
My Leaf just hatched! Came with the name Samhain, which would have been much better for an Autumn dragon. I've renamed him Phyll, after Chlorophyll. XD He's living in my small Seasonal habitat, and I put Clonus in there too to keep him company. I'll build another big one once I start trying in earnest for the Seasonal dragon.

Sounds like a plan to me. It shouldn't be too hard to save up -- especially since you've got all those extra gemstone dragons. :P
