Well, Met With Randstad Today
Aug. 26th, 2014 11:02 pmHad an easier time of it than I did with Robert Half, if only because I knew exactly where the building was this time. In essence, it was pretty much identical to the first meeting -- filling out the paperwork, being asked a few questions, being told my typing is amazing so yay. I did get a safety orientation video with this one, though, plus a few brochures and stuff with extra information on their policies. So yeah, extra manpower on the job search. Hopefully it'll help me out so I can actually get into the working world and put some money into my bank account.
After the meeting I went to Providence Place for a bit, but without the money to properly recharge my D&B card, I limited my time there to lunch. Subway Flatizza (basically a flatbread with tomato sauce, cheese, and other toppings as you choose on it -- I had pepperoni and green peppers), which was decent enough. Nothing to write home about, but I'd have it again, and a Pinkberry chocolate hazelnut cone with chocolate crisp balls and ground-up Twix. With Ben & Jerry's and Dairy Queen both sadly out of commission, they're pretty much my only choice for ice-cream goodness now. :( Well, except for Godiva soft serve, but that's probably both mad expensive and mad bad for you. At least Pinkberry gives me a rough calorie count.
Being out most of the day means I don't have a lot to report on -- I didn't even play Hearthstone today, and DragonVale is quiet despite another major update (we're up to ELEVEN islands, I don't even know what I'd do with that last one). Geode doesn't hatch until tomorrow, and I still don't have a better name than Drake for my Mirage -- although I may have an idea now. . . And in Spellfall -- well, you know how I just cleared out the Nightsbane Tower?
Got recaptured. Gotta do it AGAIN. >.< Fortunately my new weapon and all my runes means I'm making short work of most of the monsters. And an upgraded version of my Mechro Plate has appeared in the shop, so I may be equipping new armor soon. Though it only has three open slots, and who knows how expensive the last two will be to unlock. . . Hmph. Still, better defense and better chances of critical hits are not to be sneezed at.
Anyway, I'm having a flood of responses on Forgotten Vows's tumblr, so I'd better get back to that. Night all!

Date: 2014-08-27 12:40 pm (UTC)So Tropius won a Gold and Helen's in Fire. I'm using the Primaries just in case I decide to redecorate at some point, though I'm still planning on waiting until I get the Tenth Island. I, too, have no idea what I'd do with the Eleventh (I wonder if the Doctor Who fan(s) working at Backflip will try to push for a Twelfth at some point...).
Nothing good coming of the breeding, naturally. I'm glad of the Storage Tower getting bigger, though, because now I can put back the Easter Event decorations. I also put the Prism in there since it doesn't animate anymore. I still have the Planeteers' Habitats in there.
I think that's about it. DC: 760,767,606; G: 293
Edit: HOLY CRAP AMBER GET!! Took 'em long enough.

Date: 2014-08-28 03:23 am (UTC)I'm holding off on any major redecorating until I get mine too. And like you, no clue what I'll do with that Eleventh Island. Who on earth needs that much room?? . . .Then again, we're almost at 200 dragons, and I suspect more people are like you in NOT using Giant habitats. . .
Not much happening for me on that front either. Meeeh. I haven't put anything new in the Tower, but yeah, extra space is never a bad thing. Even if I don't need it.
Congrats on your Amber! Perhaps I should start trying for it myself. . . Anyway, DC: 869,536,533; G: 304.
