crossover_chickI have my location, I have my route, I have my suggested clothing choices, I have my notebook with questions and such to practice -- just need a copy of my resume and references, and I should be all ready for this interview on Friday! I really hope I make a good impression -- I could seriously use the cash. 11 dollars an hour is nothing to sneeze at, even if it's only for three months or so.
Pretty nice day today -- had the house to myself most of the time. Watched some more Helloween Drakengard 3 LP, took a walk (which included a stop at the bank to deposit my last paycheck from the housesitting gig), hung out and then took in the laundry, edited more of "In The Land of the Dead" -- a pretty emotional bit too (Lizzie finding out about Alice's situation), and did my best at cooking supper. That last is qualified as such because supper didn't really cook -- I followed Mom's instructions, but the bigger pieces of chicken and the potatoes proved not quite done. Annoying. We ended up eating with "Jeopardy" after Mom threw it all in the microwave. And even then the chicken proved hard to eat because of the bones. Meeeh. *shrug* Not all dinners turn out like you'd wish them to.
On the games front, two don't have much to say -- I only played one round of Hearthstone, for starters. And that was a loss with my Rexxar to a Garrosh. A tough loss, though -- we were both topdecking by the end, and he won largely by pulling just the right card at the right time (a three-damage battlecry when I was down to one health). DragonVale is similarly quiet, though my Amber dragon is now happily incubating away in the nursery. I'll probably speed that up later, since Kairos's magic powers are available. Still trying for the Bronze, working on the Daydream now.
Spellfall, however. . .oh man, it was a GREAT day for Spellfall. :D I finished off the Temple of Earth today, so now I'm in Denkut's Cavern, which is the lair of the Energy-type monsters. Been dealing with some pretty tough battles -- but I've gotten some frankly INSANE combos, including one against a Big Corrupter that had me wracking up the enchanted extra attacks. Water, Energy, Fire (with FOUR icons to pump up the damage) -- and I didn't even end up using any of them because the regular matches killed it before I could! XD Fortunately those turn into money if you don't use them, so it wasn't a total loss. Fun times, fun times -- very glad I downloaded this game. It's a blast. :D

Edit: Well I'll be jiggered! They brought back both the Paper and Cotton as well as the new Leathery (I was close!). They're all available to breed or buy until September 28.
Paper = Fire+Plant+Earth+Cold 9h 36m (same as Moss)
Cotton = Plant+Fire+Earth+Lightning 19h 12m (same as Crystal)
Leathery = Fire+Earth+Cold+Lightning 28h 48m (doesn't share a time)
They all have [Double] Rainbow fails of course and the Leathery has the added (non)bonus of also having Sun/Moon fails.
Okay, so I sacrificed two gems to clear out my EBC (ANOTHER BRONZE DAMMIT!!) and stuck Buck with Jabber. I got the 9:36 right away so I went and sacrificed 10 gems like I said I was going to in the past (if a Limited has the same time as a Non I'll use the gems to see if I'm gonna be disappointed or not) to see if it was a Moss or Paper and I got the Paper on the first try (it will hatch in the wee hours of the morning). I'm using Ray and Spike for the Cotton and the first try was a fail. My EBI is still gonna be tied up for another 6 hours so I'm going to have to wait to try for the Leathery until then.

Yeah, those are some interesting fails. . .at least we have most of the month to get them! Thanks for the combos and breed times -- attempted a Paper, but I'm getting a Poison right off the bat. *grumps* AND I'm suffering from a pretty full nursery. . .well, what can you do. Glad you got the Paper on your first go, though! Congrats! :D
I've got my Tenth Island all summoned (arrived last night) -- lots of Huge Trees and Boulder piles. Cleared out all the little stuff I could and now I'm just waiting for the big stuff to screw off.
