Time To Gather Roses!

You guys know the drill when it comes to DragonVale events! Since we're doing a Valentine's thing, the name of the game is loooove. The special thing to gather is roses, one of the prizes is a new kind of Opposite dragon (Thorn, Plant/Metal), the big prize at the end is a habitat where ANY four dragons can live regardless of element type, and for the duration of the event (until the 22nd), we get a third breeding area! Which for me is producing a possible Snowy Olympus dragon -- hopefully it's the Bronze I don't have! Also, our mascot for this one is Gardenia, who went on a grand trip into the Berrywhite Mountains to prove herself a proper witch and found out the roses could help with getting dragons of different kinds to breed together. She's kind of hippie-ish it seems, and I like her already. :) Also, shit is ANIMATED now -- what was once still pictures of wizards now move around a bit! I have to say, it's a cool little touch. :)

On the non-DragonVale side of things, another typical day at work. We had some snow flurries, but they were more bluster than anything else -- just got a fresh dusting of white for the snowbanks already here. Got COLD this afternoon, though -- and Friday's supposed to be freezing, joy. >.< And another storm on Sunday. . .can we just make winter STOP already? Jeez. . .

Anyway, have spent most of evening catching up on tumblr RP queues after having to take a hiatus yesterday. Just have to do a couple other things now before hitting the sheets. Don't think I'll get to write today, but tradeoffs. :( I do need sleep, unfortunately. I'll have the weekend to catch up, on that and all my other stuff. Gaming, videos -- it's all good. So long as we don't lose the net if Sunday/Monday turns out to be bad. Bleeeh. . .think warm thoughts, everyone! G'night!

They tweaked the caps now. 80 for breeding and 15/10/5 for the Colosseum. At least we don't have to log in multiple times to search for Gardenia since she only appears once a day. The rest is the same.

I've no idea how they're gonna work Double Weekends because usually an event has at least four weekends and it's usually the second and the last weekend that do Doubles. This event only has three weekends so I dunno. I'm a little scared to collect anything until the afternoon just in case (especially since they faked us out last time by starting Doubles on like a Tuesday or w/e).

While I'm here, I did manage Snowflake 3 (came with the name Law and I'm gonna change it later once things calm down). I got another duplicate of Snowflake 2 (named Serri) and I have them together in that third breeding cave hoping they'll give me the fourth one (which I doubt but until I get another Snowflake 1 to put together with 2 I may as well try).

If the last weekend is a Double and I manage to max out everything (not counting gifts from friends because that's not reliable) and don't spend any gems I should manage to get all but the last reward. I'm okay with that, lol.

Cash is less than it should be. Antoinette got a hold of my phone the other night and was growing treats because "I wanna feed the dragons!!!" but unfortunately she was picking the expensive ones and did like five before I caught her. :/ At least she didn't spend it all.

Yeah, I found out about the Colosseum yesterday, and the eggs today -- and I WISH I'd know about the latter yesterday, because I stopped at 40! >.< Though it's worth noting that I now have a glut of epics, so there's little I could have done about it anyway. . . Sun, Bronze Olympus, and Gold Snowy, by the by. *grumbles at the Olympuses who should be each other because those are the ones I need*

Doesn't look like this one's going to be a double, so I imagine the last two are going to be doubles -- they would NOT screw us over on Valentine's Day itself, I know that much. The doubles in the middle of the week were to align with Christmas, I believe -- Valentine's is on a Saturday this year, so it's standard operating procedure.

Congrats! Mine are still being assholes about making 3 and 4. Though I guess breeding them and hoping for duplicates would be good under the current circumstances, since it's a quick sale for 40 roses. . .

Cool. :) I plan to do at least a little gem spending, so we'll see how far that takes me. Bench has already been collected, and I'm working on the pedestal.

DC: 1,670,170,908; G: 554 (spent some getting a free space in my nursery to buy plant eggs to get the max of 80 -- or possibly 82, since I swear I got an extra two from selling a sixth egg? Other people have been saying they've been getting that glitch too. . . I mean, I'll TAKE it, but. . .)
