Quick One For Now

Since I lost track of time a bit:

-->I am officially being taunted by DragonVale when it comes to Olympus dragons. Every time I try to get one, it's either Silver or Bronze. And I'm trying to rebuild my gem supply, so I'm reluctant to use gems to speed up the process. It's just getting a bit old to try and try and have no result. :(

-->I keep getting ahead of the scanners at work now, which is a very weird situation. You'd think with the giant school we're working on that wouldn't happen, but nope! Hopefully we can get to a happy equilibrium tomorrow.

-->Still fussing around with "Triskaidekaphobia," on-track for Friday update. Hoorah.

-->Warmer weather is here, at least for a little while. Very much enjoying temperatures being above freezing most of the day.

-->Was too warm somewhere in Providence, though -- we had a full-on five alarm fire! The air was still smoky when I arrived for work! Fortunately it was a vacant factory building somewhere far from where I work, but still. Yikes.

The "new Spring update" entails a new event called "Path of Nature" (more Magic Egg collecting) and...the ability to feed Epic dragons to level 15. I don't know if it's a reward or not yet. The video is in their Instagram and I can't pause it to read what's on the screen. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Since I have all dragons and my gems are now over 400, I say bring it on, lol.

Yeah, I just got the initial update today. While I'm starting to get a little sick of events at this point, I think they've won me over with the return of questing via Kairos's perch (however possibly temporary). And huh -- I just FINALLY got into the game (after getting kicked out at the loading screen multiple times), and they've actually got a message up for it and when it starts! 4:30 PM UTC. I guess enough people got mad about being taken by surprise or something? Maybe this one will also include how many eggs you can get from various activities as part of its infobox too. That would be nice.

I bet barely anyone will read that notice, though. They had the photo on their FB with "March 12, 2015" in lovely green letters on it and people STILL asked "When does it start?" *headdesk*

Me, all I did was Google "UTC" because that's one I never heard of before (Coordinated Universal Time; it's one of several closely related successors to Greenwich Mean Time). 4:30UST = 12:30EST as normal.

That'd be very nice if they told us the totals right away. I doubt it'll happen, but what can ya do? I'll let you know what [little] I figure out this afternoon and then whenever the Wiki page updates.

Ah yes, the usual "people are idiots" syndrome. *shakehead* At least we pay attention.

Ahh, okay then. I've seen UTC before, but I've never really figured out how to properly convert it. Good to know! *files that away in brain*
