crossover_chickWell, that at least explains why I've been feeling more distracted and irritable than usual lately. . .better to have it out of the way now rather than later, I guess. And hey, I did still manage some editing on the Deluded Depths chapter of "Forgetting You," so that's something.
In fact, I actually went ahead and slipped in some actual Alice playtime! I'm sick of feeling like I never have time to play my games between catching up with everything else and doing chores and suchlike, so I decided to go ahead and give myself a half-hour in the Depths. Which is a lot more bubbly than I remember -- attributing it to the better graphics card. Game ran a bit more choppily than I'm accustomed to (possibly because of all the water effects -- did you know Alice leaves a trail of bubbles as well as the petals and feathers when she floats underwater?), but I snagged some memories and some snouts, and successfully killed a few enemies. Though I experienced an interesting graphical glitch with a snark when I started peppering him -- the top of his head started extending away from the rest of his body. It was like when a CGI character model fails in the outtakes of those movies. XD Pretty funny, honestly.
Anyway, not much else to say. Watched the latest NC -- Top 11 Animaniacs! Man, talk about a genuine nostalgia trip for me. . . I used to have such a crush on Wakko. XD As it is in the present, finishing up tumblr queues now, then it's off to do the chat thing. I've probably got DW tags, but a) I'm having trouble concentrating and b) I never got e-mails for them, so they'll have to wait a bit. Hopefully I'll be in a better space for more active RPing tomorrow night. For now, g'night and sleep tight!
