You Know, In Most Respects, This Was A Pretty Good Day

-->I've got my second Midnight dragon in DragonVale, whom I've named Witching, so that's cool -- and the stress of getting stardust is now largely off my shoulders, whew

-->I played a nice big chunk of A:MR this morning, getting through a good majority of the Depths (though I'm thinking I may have missed a snout somewhere. . .we'll see when I finish off the chapter). I'm currently right after the first block puzzle with the poster, though I nearly stopped after the first rhythm game because OMG I SUCKED SO BAD. *facepalm* One of these days I'll learn how to do those properly! But I managed it, and it felt good to go through the level and admire the pretty scenery and kick some ass. :)

-->I did some (in my opinion) INCREDIBLE work editing the next chapter of "Forgetting You." I honestly believe this new version is five times better than the old one, and I look forward to sharing with you on Friday. :)

-->I got out for a nice walk on this very nice day -- slight nip in the air, but I attribute that to a surprising amount of wind. And tomorrow's supposed to be gorgeous -- keep your fingers crossed that it is!

-->I watched some very funny YouTube videos, including this one introduced to me by a friend: Ship Happens So that was nice

-->RP replies are pretty much all caught up on, as are tumblr queues (complete with happy birthday posts for the Alices of my Victors) -- I have seen your PM, Mad Scientist, and I'll be answering that soonish!

-->I played Sims 4 and had a good day with Emmett in the lab!

. . .And then I visited Geeker and everything went to shit, as you can see in the last paragraph of that post. Turns out this game has a major fucking problem in that it sets a limit of 180 Sims and then DELETES Sims to keep that limit instead of, I dunno, NOT SPAWNING IN TOWNIES AFTER A CERTAIN POINT. Geeker now knows three people, NONE of whom are Leslie -- you know, the woman he was ROMANCING? Now, admittedly, I have no idea if she's GONE gone or if I got hit with a different glitch, but it's still really fucking horrible that they'd allow this to be in the game. Now I don't even want to play anymore because -- well, what's the point if any townie friends (or more) might just disappear one day? What other horrible glitches does this game have that I don't know about? *heavy sigh*

Moose, if you didn't already know about this, I hope you're taking notes. I know you've put a lot more into your game than I have mine.

All right, I have to get to bed. Need to think happy thoughts -- Alice's birthday is tomorrow, and I want her to have happy one. Night all.

Hey there was a glitch with the Star Fall Event ending early with some people. If you were affected you may just be compensated just enough Star Dust to get the Weather Station. Crossing my fingers for you!

I find it kind of hilarious that this is the the kind of game where we occasionally WISH glitches on each other. XD However, it seems I'm just fine, so no Weather Station for me. Ah well.

More like "Game has an arbitrarily low limit of Sims and a really stupid way of sticking to that limit," but it amounts to the same thing. I mean -- what. the. hell. There's other, somewhat more minor glitches (my Sims have a tendency to reset to being outside their homes every time I reload them, and one who is supposed to be unemployed keeps getting random jobs), but this? And I was ONE VISIT from asking Leslie to move in too, which might have spared her. . .

Culling of sims?! That's screwed up on a massive level!

However I looked into it and apparent the mod here will stop it from happening.

I haven't played Sims 4 all that much yet - shame on me! But I got the latest Office expansion pack so I want to get on it and will be downloading this.

Tell me about it. This shit was known as a full-on game wrecker in Sims 2, and now it's EA itself doing it?! *grumble*

Yeah, I saw, but I was too pissed off to download it -- and apparently there's a whole host of culling problems with the latest patch they put out, so it's probably best to wait until it's updated (if it needs it) or people figure out what broken in this update.

Really? Huh. I just naturally assumed, since you bought the huge box set and everything. :P Me, I'm taking a hiatus while I decide what to do and what mods are necessary as game fixes. I'll catch up on Alice instead.
