I was all hyped up because I have tomorrow off and I was looking forward to a nice calm evening where I could do some writing and catch up on my tags and all that good stuff before setting off on a mall trip tomorrow.
CUE THE RIDE HOME FROM HELL.
Basically what happened is that we got on the highway, only to discover it was a parking lot -- the driver said something about a tractor trailer rolling over, so it was a big one and we could be stuck for a while. Fortunately, the driver managed to get off at the first available exit -- UNFORTUNATELY, we then proceeded to run into pretty much every pocket of residential traffic as we tried to find a way around the mess. We eventually did and made it back onto the highway, but we were over a half-hour behind schedule, and -- yeah. Add in my mom having a stressful day, and her and Dad having an argument (not that serious, though) over who discovered the source of the Nile (seriously -- we're watching a nature show on Africa, Dad got annoyed that they didn't talk about the explorer who discovered it for the Western world, and then it turns out there's a debate over whether he or his partner did and aaarrrrrgh), aaaand while I tried, I never really did quite destress.
As it stands, mall trip is still on, and I managed tumblr queues (in part because they're currently remaining small), but DW tags are going to have to wait until tomorrow afternoon/evening. I'm just not in the right place to properly concentrate on them. Right now, I'm gonna finish catching up on stuff, see if there's any kind of writing I can do (I was in such a nice groove on Chapter 10 too), then go to bed. Night all.
