The Mildly Stressful Week Continues

crossover_chickGot a unpleasant surprise of "more records from a school we thought complete suddenly popped up" just as I was finishing up an analysis of something that kind of relied on most things being complete. Fortunately it could have been much worse -- the scanner guy was talking about multiple schools, and I thought a LOT of what I'd already done was secretly missing stuff. But so far it just looks like one school thought complete and another I'd known was incomplete already. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Other annoyances today include it being unseasonably cool (there's a chance of FROST in interior New England -- fortunately not down here) and me getting my turn at the red curse again. Managed to avoid ruining any clothes, luckily, but it's never pleasant being bloated and crampy. Bleh.
Despite this, though, I have managed drafts for DW tags (will be putting them up in a bit), tumblr queues, and the posting of Chapter 10 of Blu-Ray "Forgetting You." I also FINALLY got the missing Monolith I needed (Colon to my Nobby), and it looks like I'm getting one of the Galaxy dragons as well! So that's nice news. :)
Doesn't stop me from being very tired at the moment, though -- time to put up some tags and hit the sheets, I think. Night all!

Date: 2015-05-22 05:45 pm (UTC)I got two more Twins. A Flash named Hope and an Ember named Vibgyor. *shrug* Whatever floats your boat, Wizards. The closest I can find to a meaning is that's it's the colors of the rainbow reversed (as opposed to Roy G Biv) and a name of a band from Leeds, England that was around in the early 2000s.
No Antarian yet. I did manage a second Jade to turn into a pedestal later.

So...I watch a show called Once Upon a Time. I mentioned it before in regards to Rumple(stiltskin) my Gold and Regina (the Evil Queen) my Mirror. I'd known for a while that it had a one-season spinoff but until recently I couldn't find a way to watch it. It's called Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and there are a few small elements from American McGee's Alice weaved into it. Like the Vorpal Blade, though it isn't used by Alice in this version. It's used by Jafar to control(ish...she taunts him with his greatest fear) the Jabberwocky, who in this version is a woman.
I wont go into details of the series but here's the Wiki's description of the plot:
In Victorian England, the young and beautiful Alice tells a tale of a strange new land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole. An invisible cat, a hookah smoking caterpillar and playing cards that talk are just some of the fantastic things she’s seen during this impossible adventure. Surely this troubled girl must be insane and her doctors aim to cure her with a treatment that will make her forget everything. Alice seems ready to put it all behind her, especially the painful memory of the genie she fell in love with and lost forever — the handsome and mysterious Cyrus. But deep down Alice knows this world is real and just in the nick of time, the sardonic Knave of Hearts and the irrepressible White Rabbit arrive to save her from a doomed fate. Together, the trio will take a tumble down the rabbit hole to this Wonderland where nothing is impossible.
As an added note, the White Rabbit is voiced by John Lithgow (and his wife in her three appearances by Whoopi Goldberg) and the Knave of Hearts is also Will Scarlet of Robin Hood's band of Merry Men. This series really twists up the tales we all know, lol. It only lasted 13 episodes due to poor ratings and timeslot but I thought it was okay enough.
Anyways, saw the Vorpal Blade and the fact that this Alice was also in an asylum and thought of you. :p

(Ooh, if we ever got anything like a Negative Rainbow dragon, with the colors all reversed or something, Vibgyor would be perfect. XD) I've got a Sorarian in the Nursery, will hatch sometime on Sunday I believe. :D Idly breeding the Monoliths and Snowflakes to see if I can snag the remaining pedestals.

Yeah, I know about that. (Though I somehow missed John Lithgow and Whoopi Goldberg were in it. O.o) I was never particularly impressed with the plot summary (what the hell are elements of Aladdin/Arabian Nights doing in Wonderland), and as I don't follow the original show, I just let it pass me by.
