crossover_chick | Hot Day & Quiet Night

Felt like a particularly humid 96 at the hottest part of the day in Providence -- I skipped my lunchtime walk because I didn't feel like spending the rest of my working day miserable and sweaty. I was frustrated enough by some numbers that just wouldn't reconcile right, grr. . . And this would happen the day that there's only two of us in the office and the other lady doesn't do the thing I was working on. *sigh* I ended up putting it aside so my supervisor and I could look at it together, but it still annoys me a bit, you know?

There was a nice component to the day, however -- ice cream truck! Apparently somebody in the building convinced one he should stop by. I went down when he showed up and got a cone of cookie dough, om nom. And he's going to be stopping by every Wednesday for the rest of the summer now! I don't know if I'll always go and get something from him, but it's nice to have the option. Especially if we have more hot days like this one, whew. . .

As for the "quiet night" portion -- not a lot of replies on tumblr, and not that much to catch up with dash-wise. I am most grateful, especially since I had to take some time to make muffins before getting online. Gonna dash off some last replies now, then see if I can't get to bed at least a skoosh earlier. Gotta prepare for another hot one tomorrow! Night all!
