Still Hot, But Less Sticky

A fact most appreciated by me. I've still got the AC on tonight, though, simply because it was warm in my room and I sleep better when it's cool.
Another fairly boring day at work, though the problem with the program was fixed, so we're back on track with my part of the job, at least. We did all the things, I got my paycheck, and I was out at 1:30, as has been usual for the past month. After that was the bus ride home, and after that was stopping by Stop & Shop for my August monthly bus pass and the bank to deposit my paycheck. (And finally figure out the routing number I need so I can get direct deposit and join the 21st century.) And after that --
Was Cardbridge and Chapter 16. I replayed the mini-level, as I said I would -- got through it really smoothly too! Didn't fall to my death even once! I am impressed with me. Right afterward I popped up the document, started reading through -- and finally, FINALLY things seem to be working in it again. I think my problem is that I try to shoehorn too much of the actual level in, weirdly -- I get caught up in describing how locations and gameplay work when I really should just focus on Alice and her thoughts and feelings. Cardbridge has an extra disadvantage in being easily the shortest and simplest area of the game -- no cutscenes or enemies -- so it's tempting to shove stuff in just to bulk it up. But I feel like I'm back on track now, so hopefully next weekend update will be go. :D
And then -- well, dinner, and then really just futzing around with DragonVale and tumblr and such. Working on getting my queues up and running. Also need to catch up on DW stuff. . .let me get on that. Night all, sleep tight!
