crossover_chick | Very Pizza Day (Reply)

This makes two Fridays were most of what I've eaten is pizza. The coworkers and I went out to lunch after work today (along with one of my old coworkers who recently retired) -- headed down to Providence's Coal-Fired Pizza. Ended up getting a mix of foods and splitting them six ways -- a salad, a plate of chicken wings, a thing of small bread triangles and goat-cheese dip, and the pizza special of the day, which was a white pizza with some sort of leafy green thing on it (I wasn't paying much attention when he described it) and thin slices of ham. I had three of the wings, about three or four bread-triangles with a bit of dip, and two slices of the pizza. I think I liked the wings best -- the bread was, I swear, the same kind of pizza dough my mom buys and uses for fancy bread, and while the dip was good it wasn't amazing; as for the pizza -- floppy, thin-crust, and with toppings falling off way too easily. It tasted all right, but I think I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to my slice. It was a nice time nonetheless, though -- everybody chatted about their lives and stuff, and I got out early enough to catch the 3:15 home, which was good.

And then I got home and discovered we were having pizza. XD Of course, it was my mom's more traditional pizza on that nice thick dough, so I have no complaints. There's even some left over living in the fridge for lunch tomorrow. I am the Pizza Queen :P

Other than that, not too much to say about the day. I did get a nice chunk done on "Card Castles" -- finished off Alan's adventures with hallucinating Alice. This new version should fit with what she thought she was seeing a lot better -- and just generally be more interesting too. Next up -- well, time to copy-paste tons of dialogue! Ah, perspective flips. . .just gotta remind myself, it makes a better story in the end.
