Surprisingly Quiet Tuesday
Oct. 13th, 2015 10:16 pmNeither of my RP tumblrs had a lot on their dashboards, and neither do I have a lot of DW RP stuff. Which is good, really, gives me a chance of getting to bed at a decent hour, but is kind of weird for a Tuesday. Maybe because we had a three-day weekend, everybody's struggling to adjust again? I know one person's likely on an RP blog I don't follow (yet -- I was hoping to watch an LP of the game the character's from first), but still. *shrug* Well, I got my queues up, so that's good. And I still have a piece of fanart from you all courtesy of lilyenrenn: Chapter 15 "Finding You" illustration, featuring guest star the Cheshire Cat! :) I swear, I am so full of Valicey goodness these days. . .
Work was all right -- we finished a huge roster maintenance project, and I got a few more things done for the great move of CAP-related donors into our database system. Day ended on a bit of a sour note, though -- you see, it was raining this morning, so naturally I use my (new) umbrella and put it under my desk to dry. When it came time to leave, I made sure I had that and its little slipcover, since I've left umbrellas places before. Unfortunately, I was so focused on not forgetting the umbrella --
I forgot my jacket.
Now, granted, this is not the end of the world -- it ended up being pretty damn warm out today, and they're forecasting much the same for tomorrow, so it's not like I need it. And leaving it at work is better than a lot of other options. But still, it burns me up that I didn't notice until I was already at the bus stop and thus unable to go back for it. (The bus stop isn't that far away, but I get out of work very close to when the bus actually hits the stop, so even running I would never have made it.) Ah well, it should be right on my chair when I go back tomorrow. Better remember it next time, though -- once Thursday hits, temperatures are supposed to PLUMMET. Hopefully they're not right, but. . .well. We'll see.
Anyway -- DW stuff! Night all, sleep tight!

Date: 2015-10-15 12:35 pm (UTC)Actually I was under the impression that she was Whitbee until I read the Wiki and saw the picture of the actual Whitbee. Hm...for some season I'm thinking Winnie, lol.
Edit: You called it! The hidden things with the visitors ARE jack-o-lanterns! Some of the visitors are wearing jack-o-lantern costumes, so don't mistake their heads as the collectables. They probably don't appreciate being tapped on, though it's their own fault for wearing the McGuffin, lol. And, thankfully, they're doing this event just like the Faire. Collect candy and pick the prize you want. So I'm lobbying for the dragons. XD
Edit the Second: I may try breeding the dragons, too. The wiki isn't updated yet but I get the impression they can be bred. *shrug* We'll see. Also I don't know what the daily maximum is. If there is one, I haven't reached it yet.

Date: 2015-10-16 03:06 am (UTC)*snork* Oh Gigs :P Though I like Winnie. . .she actually shows up a lot in events somewhere -- I remember her being on a Firefly Festival loading screen.
w00h00, I love being right :D I'll try and watch out for that XD And yeah, I saw on the wiki when I went to look up the new Crystalline dragon that it seemed to be done the Faire way. (Er, pun not intended.) So yay for that.
Hmmmm. . .well, if you know the elements, might as well give it a shot, right? And yeah -- I thought it was going to be 500 like in the Faire, but nope. . .666 maybe? :P
Also, I saw your latest post -- I hope Itchie's okay! And that your mom gets through the radiation all right too.

Date: 2015-10-16 01:28 pm (UTC)A note: the hidden pumpkins reset before the candy does, so if a weekend winds up being a Double and you've already gotten some pumpkins, you may be missing out on some extras.

Date: 2015-10-17 02:41 am (UTC)Yeah, I noticed -- the same was true of the banner-bearers in the Faire. I make sure to get them after the rest of the resets just to be on the safe side.
