Snowed In Sunday
Jan. 24th, 2016 11:01 pmWell, not really, but we all like alliteration around these parts, don't we? We ended up with about six inches of snow -- not ideal, but considering some places nearby got nearly a foot, I'll accept it. Didn't exactly make the idea of going anywhere pleasant, though, so it was definitely a "stay in" kind of day.
Things of note:
-->Tried and failed to find what I thought Mom wanted for her birthday present online (a special handled mixing cup for the NutriNinja) -- only for her to explain what she really wanted when she got back home (basically just a good thermos with a strap and a lid). So Dad and I know what to pick up tomorrow, whew!
-->Caught up on all my Helloween LPing -- Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water and the Drakengard 3 DLC with Zero's sisters. The first features a wet gauge and realistically-transparent white clothes when the the female protagonist gets wet (NOT the male one, however, so yeah); the second features Intoner Five telling a female soldier that she needs to get herself an extra-sexy dress and a man to spend the night with as she slaughters said soldier and all her comrades. The games he plays sometimes. . . They are both at least interesting plot-wise, so that's something going for them. And as usual Hells's commentary is gold. :D
-->Still rewriting "Remembering You" -- tossing out huge chunks of the first draft because I can. I am hitting a lot of the same beats, I'm just remembering better which characters have learned what at this point. Still feeling on-track with this.
-->On the prompt fic side, here's the rest of my prompts for my first Winter Bingo card. Still a lot of fluffy/silly stuff, but my love of angst is starting to shine through again.
-->Played BTTF: The Game -- got Edna's confession (after playing around with the phone booth some -- Marty does a wretched impersonation of Kid Tannen XD), then reconciled Emmett with his father Angry German Roosevelt. Currently up to the "Hill Valley's gone thanks to Scary Mary" part, which means I'll probably be wrapping up the game entirely with the end of January. Though I suppose it depends on how long it takes to get through the "make her remember" part of the game. . .well, we'll see.
-->More "Adventures in Babysitting" from Nebbychan:
Adorable Kidlets are adorable
Victor gets Bumby in the arse, based off the fic I wrote her for Christmas
Victoria and Emily ballerinas -- not really related to the AU, but they're still cute
I have also been told Wizard Victor will be a thing, so that's nice :D
And I really need to hit the sheets now -- work tomorrow and all that. I'll get on DW tags/messages during the lunchtime draftings. Until then, g'night!
