New Phone's Here
May. 3rd, 2016 11:11 pmIt's a flip, just like my last one, but it's bigger and more advanced, with a nicer display and all that jazz. I spent part of my night transferring all the information out of my little 2G into it. The site says I should make a call to verify that it works, but I can't really do that at this time of night, so I'll test it out with Mom or Dad in the morning. Looks good so far, though!
In other news, rather quiet day at work, though as always there was a problem or two to solve. Glad of it, though -- I'm never my best when the red curse strikes. As evidenced by the fact I'm still falling behind on keeping up with all my shizz -- though at least I caught up with my DW reading page and Comics Curmudgeon. And I'm keeping up with edits on "Losing You" -- though I can't promise Chapter 4 will be ready in time for Friday. Chapter 3, definitely, but Chapter 4 might take just a tiny bit longer. We'll see, though -- I'll have more time to write after tomorrow.
DragonVale update -- I have obtained the Vortex dragon, and named it Alan after Alan Davies, since for some reason it reminds me of a blue whale. That -- makes sense if you've seen "QI" (explanation: if there's a question about ocean animals, Alan almost always guesses blue whale). I've also FINALLY got the Wavelyte egg, whew! Thought that was going to be ANOTHER Crystalline I'd have to wait on. . . Let's keep the deficit to two, okay DV?
Fallout Shelter update -- almost up to the required number of Dwellers to start crafting Rare Weapons and the like. Steve the King remains my most useful Wasteland explorer. I sent out a friend for him, Marty Brown, this time around (yes, you can guess why he's named that -- I also have Victor, Alice, Emmett, and Jennifer wandering around), but he ended up being my first Dweller ever to die. Fortunately you can revive them with Caps (in-game currency), and he did pick up a few things, so with a little more endurance and more Stim packs (health kits). . . Plus Steve came back with another one of the good guns, which has gotta improve his chances.
Okay, I've really gotta wrap things up here -- night all, sleep tight!

Date: 2016-05-04 05:50 pm (UTC)I was kind of mean and named the Wavelyte "Glutton" because the description says it likes for visitors to share what they're eating when they pet it. The Vortex I named "Tartarus", which is the name of a black hole in an episode of Doctor Who.
I'm 7 pieces away from completing Gaia's nursery, though I'm half tempted to just spend the gems to do it all at once if I can get it down to only a few hundred.
They just added more Galactic dragons and are letting you co-op breed with the witches and wizards of the Vale to try to get them (one new one every couple of days; they'll repeat once more before the month is out).

Date: 2016-05-05 02:59 am (UTC)Heh, I can understand the temptation. I think I'll stick it out, though. I've had good streaks of luck with this in the past.
So I see! And what cool ones they look like too. I changed my sky/weather to Starfall to celebrate. Working on the first, the Nebula, with Noel dePlante, right now. :)
