Hello Summer My Old Friend

crossover_chickYeah, definitely a nice one out there today -- I took an early walk (had to get some money from the bank before it closed) and saw a lot of people out and about, enjoying the sunshine. Couldn't blame them -- it felt great to get outside and properly enjoy it. Also feels great to have the windows open, to wear cooler clothes, to just be in summer mode in general. The older I get, the less of a winter person I become. . .
Day has mostly been about getting stuff I've wanted/needed to get done for a while done. In addition to the money thing, I also skipped watching Linkara's latest episode of Atop The Fourth Wall in favor of watching one of the DVD episodes on the new compilation DVD I received recently! Specifically, I watched the first episode of Volume 2, plus one of his riffs (Printed Poison, on prosecuting pornography, done with Obscurus Lupa and -- I didn't recognize the other voice, sadly). Good stuff, particularly the "Avenger" episode, as we have a preachy hero who is regularly drawn weird and does morally-questionable things with super gadgets. Linkara was not impressed. XD Also watched the NC editorial on whitewashing -- fortunately, he isn't arguing that it's not happening in it, just that we've let stuff like this slide in the past so that's probably why it keeps happening. Which is fair enough -- we just gotta hope we keep getting better at this shit.
Other major accomplishment of the day was more edits on "In The Land of the Dead" -- currently rewriting the "Bumby stalking Lizzie" section. Feels good to flesh it out a little more, even if I'm sure Lizzie doesn't appreciate me making him creepier. And I may have to tweak one of Alice's memories in "Forgetting You" too now. . .maybe not, though. We'll see after I finalize it and go back to the memory in question.
And that's about it for now! Beyond my period making me forever tired, but what's new. Off to do more tumblr stuff -- night all!
