Roadwork Ruins Everything

crossover_chickNo, not my ride in or ride home -- my ride to my driving lesson. I don't know WHAT was going on between our house and the beach parking lot we use, beyond some paving that was down a different street, but DAMN was the traffic bad. Ugh. . . Well, we got there in the end and had a pretty good lesson. I've been practicing stopping correctly and learning the stopping distance, and I'm getting a lot better at parking. Even managed to pull into one of the middle lane spots correctly on the first try! Normally I end up going through into the second one. . . Sunset around that time was gorgeous too, so that was a nice bonus.
Came home, had a bit of a late supper while trying to find any full early American Whose Line? episodes (you know, with Drew Carey) -- no dice, though we found some funny Ryan and Colin moments at least. And then it was the usual internet catch-up, followed by:
THE LAST CHAPTER OF "IN THE LAND OF THE DEAD!" It lives, folks! You can read it on FF.net, on AO3 or on my website. It's had some significant rewriting -- as I mentioned before, Bumby cottons on to where he is a lot faster, and his confrontation with Lizzie is nastier -- but he still gets his "manhood" chopped off and then is eaten by a Colossal Ruin, so it's all good. :P
And I've finally finished up my tumblr catch-up, so time to reply to my DW RP tag and then hit the sheets as I'm once again up too late. *shakehead* Well, that's life for you. At least tomorrow's Friday. Night all!
