Marathon Successful
Oct. 23rd, 2016 11:12 pmDespite some long-ass sets from Helloween -- I made sure to watch the longest stuff first so I wouldn't have to squeeze it in between dinner, shower, and Halloween Wars (which is back to being mostly "meh," and I swear either the judges are high or someone's paying them to pick shit stuff in the Small Scare). This included:
-->The end of F.E.A.R., which was in no way scary because the protagonist is an awesome murder machine, but did get me a bit in the feels with the story simply because of what they did to Alma. I mean, SERIOUSLY. Ugh. But hey, we still had a few party bodies for our send-off, which was nice.
-->The second boss fight and the intro of the third stalker in Haunting Ground -- creepy Daniella is out via giant shard of glass, EVEN CREEPIER RICCARDO IS IN. And he moves faster AND HAS A FRIGGING GUN. Helloween has already died twice to him. It does not help that the castle is big and Hells has a nasty tendency to get lost. On the other hand, he's actually already reached Riccardo's boss fight -- I just don't have time to watch it now. Something for Halloween weekend! :D
-->The return of Castlevania Saturdays with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, featuring Alucard, Dracula's son, as our player character! Fun times watching Helloween beat up shit -- and get lost again. No one ever let Helloween loose in a real castle, we'll never see him again. XD Not a fan of the motion blur that accompanies Alucard as he moves, but otherwise it's a decent-looking game too. Fun times, fun times.
Other than that, the big things today were my driving lesson, which was just more "wander around the parking lot and do more parking," which I'm getting much better at, and playing Sims 4. Wheatley's doctor career works again, yay! (Ran into a glitch before where his active career started acting like a standard one -- had to have him quit and rejoin.) He had a good if tiring day at work, and Chell got more Baking skill for her eventual job as a baker. I also remodeled their kitchen and put in a cupcake factory, because why not? She's gotta know how to make those too! Writing today was just me fiddling around with private drabbles -- figured I could take a quick break between chapters on "Remembering You," especially since I'm in the easy bits. Gotta take time to get the other ideas out ya know?
And now, I'm going to reply to some last messages and hit the sheets. Another five-day work week, but it's just a countdown to a long weekend! w000~ Night!
