Ordinary Day

crossover_chickWeather was shit most of the day -- fortunately I didn't have to be out in it most of the day. And it could be a lot worse -- we had a pretty heavy, soaking rain for a while there, but had the storm come downward, it would have been some pretty nasty snooow. And we don't want that. At the very least, I don't want to have to go home in it. If we're going to have snowstorms, they are going to be the kind that sweep in overnight and make it so I don't have to go to work.
Speaking of work, pretty quiet day today. Called some people about overpayments and did obituaries. It's not a particularly busy time of year. That'll start ramping up soon, though. . .gonna be tough to go from five and four-day weekends back to the usual grind. Meeeh. But that's why you have vacation days.
Got home and got a scene written on "Remembering You" -- Radcliffe being confronted over what he made Victor pay for Mr. Bunny. Which sounds weirdly low to me, but then trying to figure out Victorian money has never been my strong point. It's confusing, yo. Doesn't help that the standard of living between classes was so unequal (not that it isn't now still), and changed rather unevenly. . . *grumble* Well, fortunately most of the time I can avoid having them talk about paying for things. But in a chapter that focuses partially on Alice getting her inheritance back. . . I think I've got a good amount for said inheritance, but I'll probably play with it a little more before posting. At least I have the long weekend to work out the kinks!
And after that -- it's been largely bumming around and watching some old Cinema Sins. Partially because I had a mild headache earlier and wasn't feeling up for much. I'm still not feeling that up for much, but it's a quiet night and I can at least catch up with some of the stuff I missed. Ah, the wonders of being able to stay up when the hell I want and do what the hell I want. . .gotta savor it. It ends soon. So, on that note, I'll say goodnight and get crackin'. :P Night!
