Bad Traffic Friday

crossover_chickNot quite as horrible as the first ride home from hell after school started, but pretty nasty all the same -- there was an accident RIGHT on the onramp onto the highway after leaving work, and the main drag was all tied up. Not to mention Mom and I had to stop at the grocery store, and while we were leaving, some jerk ran a red light to pull into the parking lot! I had to stop to avoid hitting him! Ugh. . . Seriously, why are some people so freaking awful at driving, seriously. . .
Got home safe and sound, though, which is the important thing. Did my usual round of Friday BioShock -- rescued another Little Sister, killed a ton more Splicers, and ran around for a few terrifying moments without any EVE hypos. I'm up to three now, but I really need to find a way to get more. There's not a lot lying around, and the vending machines I've come across so far don't sell any. *grumbles* At least I've got it set up so that any time I refill my health, I also get a little EVE. . . Also, Houdini Splicers are still evil as fuck. Hate them and their disappearing asses. *grumbles* Still need to get me the level's third Little Sister, then I'll see about actually advancing the plot again. (Also need to check that I've gotten all the goodies from the walkthrough I've got saved on my iPad. Can't leave without my fair share of the loot!)
Writing today was on "The Technicolor Phase" -- went back and did a "Victoria's first color" one to match with the others and give her equal time with the other mains. I also went ahead and tried hashing out the plot of the other shorts I have in mind. I find myself in a curious situation, where the plot of the Alice games is unlikely to be affected by the AU, but Corpse Bride past Victor sneaking back to see Victoria may take an entirely new direction (since it's a poly AU, and Victoria and Emily will be getting colors from each other). I think I've got it figured out, but we'll see how actual writing goes. . . I'll probably be going back to "Fixing You" tomorrow, though. Trying to keep it at a five days for "Fixing You," two for "Technicolor Phase" schedule so I don't fall too far behind on my edits.
After that, watched The Sim Supply take a look at Sims 1 in 3-D -- this is apparently a real mod created by people that turns the isometric houses of the first game into 3-D models! Very janky-looking ones, but still. . . Check it out here! And then it's been catching up on various websites. Just finished up the Valice Multiverse queue, in fact -- and now I need to answer some other comments and that PM that probably took me longer than it should. Such is life. *nods* Gonna go do that now -- night all!
