"Actually, I'm re-reading it"

crossover_chickI have no idea what to read anymore. I think I've read every book in my rather vast collection twice over.
-M: What does it matter? You're on this thing all day.-
I still like reading books, Marty. It's annoying when you've read practically everything. I guess I'll have to start on the Saint-Germains again.
Played the Claytons today. Tuesday Lorraine got a day off from her job, so she had her friend Pollination Tech over. Right before he came over, the sink decided to break, of course. She kept him entertained (and had a lot of wants centered around doing that) anyway. Right before they said their goodbyes, a chance card for Clara came up. Seems she had discovered some ancient ruins and had the choice of going in on her own, or grabbing her archeological friends. I had her grab her friends, and they all discovered that the ruins were of an "Alien" civilization! Clara got promoted to Project Leader and got to come home early. Right after she got home and called the repairman, Jennifer got the "First Chair Percussion" notice for her drum playing and 200 simoleons!

-M: Didn't that happen to me too?-
Yup. I thought it was weird myself. :) After coming home from school, I had Jennifer work on her painting, then ask Clara if she could go out with Marty. Clara said yes, Jennifer called up Marty, he agreed to pick her up at 8. In the meantime, I had her call Cho to see if I could make friends on the phone. Unfortunately no, but we're getting closer. She and Marty went out, completely forgetting about her homework. *blush* Oops.
Wednesday came -- I had to wake Jennifer up early to use the toilet and do her homework. I got a little help from the fact that she had a want to finish it. I also temporarily bought a piano to get Lorraine platinum for work. Lorraine practiced for a bit on it, and she and Jennifer went to work and school in good moods. I planned the same for Clara -- have get to level nine logic. Problem is, even with the thinking cap on, she didn't do it in time to catch her carpool. Luckily she had a Vacation day she could use. While she was at home, Doc called, and they had a nice chat.
-D: *playfully sticks out tongue*-
I had Clara do more skill-building. Lorraine came home from work with a friend, Cooper. Unfortunately they couldn't talk -- I'd sent Lorraine off near hygiene failure, so I needed for her to take a shower rather desperately. I'd actually set it up beforehand, but, Stupid Sim that she is, she canceled it all out so she could mourn the PIANO.
-M: Wha?-
-VM: You sure she hasn't been sampling the cooking wine?-
LOL! Cooking wine is salty and undrinkable, VampMarty. Good guess, though. It was weird -- I only bought the darn thing to get her a promotion -- and I got it -- Sous Chef. Jennifer came home with her usual A+, and I decided she should have her boyfriend over. Marty happily came over, and he and Jennifer joked and kissed.

Holly Andersen also wandered by -- I had Lorraine greet her and butter her up. Holly's important -- she's one of George's friends! Now I have another link for Lorraine to finally get acquainted with the man who's supposed to be her husband. Clara also make pork chops for everybody, which looked delicious.
I only got up to the beginning of Thursday. Both Clara and Lorraine had the day off, and I took advantage of that. Lorraine got a Creativity skill for her next promotion, while Clara maxed her logic. I'm having her work on mechanical now for household disasters. (The shower broke on Wednesday, but I just replaced it then.)
-VD: They sound productive.-
They are. They're inching their way up to lower middle class.
And the Sims2 guys came out with Halloween decorations for the Sims2! Three blow-up decorations -- a cat, a jack-o-lantern with a witch hat, and four ghosts coming out a cauldron. I downloaded them -- they look pretty cool. Now I can hold a Halloween Party in Sims2.

New outfits and makeup. :)
