"Give my creation LIIIIFFEE!"
Oct. 16th, 2004 10:42 pm-D: Come on, my goggles don't look that much like Victor's.-
*chuckle* I decided it was time to get cracking with my Hill Valley neighborhood. So I spent my Sims time today making the major families. I'd already made the Browns in the first pass, so I created the McFlys, the Parkers, and the Tannens.
-M: *a bit puzzled* Tannens?-
I added in what would be his son, Jiff. Although Hill Valley will be like my Strictly BTTF Sims 1 hood, I'll add some implied elements that help take it to the next generation.
-M: *getting it* Griff Tannen. Gotcha.-
Precisely. I need to get a map of what Hill Valley should look like, though. *pokes around BTTF.com because she knows she saw one there*
-D: *curious* If my family's all together, where are we going to live? Are you going to build my garage at all?-
I was thinking about it, and I think I'll do it as Marty/Dave's bachelor pad. I may either a)give you your 1955 mansion or b)try building a version of the TAS farmhouse.
-D: Interesting.-
*finds the map -- Frasier's -- saves it and copys location key* Thanks Gareth, much appreciated. :)
-VD: Since I'm curious, what's everyone's aspiration? I know Clara and I are knowledge.-
Okee-dokee:
Browns--
Doc is Knowledge
Clara is Knowledge
Jules is Grow Up
Verne is Grow Up (I haven't decided on a final aspiration for either of them yet)
McFlys--
George is Knowledge
Lorraine is Family
Dave is Fortune
Linda is Romance
Marty is Popularity (I got to use up all five regular aspirations in this family!)
Parkers--
Robert is Family
Jennifer is Family
Tannens--
Biff is Fortune
Jiff is Romance
And I still need to do Strickland, the Wilsons, the Thomas/Collections, the Pinheads, and the Gangs.
-M: Cool, you're making my band?-
Yup. Thomas/Collections is the town square group (I know, technically the bum isn't Red Thomas, it's just easy to think of him like that). Gangs is Biff's collection of cronies. I'll have a page for it by tomorrow.

Allright!
Date: 2004-10-17 08:14 am (UTC)Also do you know how to make your own terrain things on The Sims 2? Apparently you're supposed to use Sim City 4 to make the roads and stuff, I tried it myself, but didn't get anywhere. Or are you just going to use the Ravine Terrain included in the game?
My Simmies sure are exhausting, got to keep an eye on them so the bloody neighbours don't run off with my toddler George or Lorraine. Thankfully they're almost ready to grow into kids so that should do it.
Say have you gotten any of those weird bugs yet? I've got one lot that the delievery people refuses to come to, it's a total bitch.
Re: Allright!
Date: 2004-10-17 08:27 am (UTC)I know, I've heard about the kidnapping bug. Maxis is making a patch for the game, hopefully that'll be fixed, along with your delivery person problem.
I've only experienced two bugs, and they both went away quickly. The first was when Marty was shoved out of his seat by PT#9. He remained sitting until he teleported to the toilet. Then he stood up regularly. Doc also had an arm frozen in one position -- luckily a little chess-playing and it unstiffened. :)
