Clothing Monday

crossover_chickAnother driving adventure -- Mom needed to get some new clothes (she was looking in particular for a particular top at Kohl's), and asked if I wanted to drive up there. I figured I really should (more practice, you know) and so off we went this morning. Drive went relatively fine -- although we had to navigate around some construction on our main road, and there was a moment where I tried to merge over only for a car to appear beside me (ALWAYS look in your mirrors kids!). Nothing bad happened, though. In fact, the trip turned out to be pretty fruitful -- Mom found her blouse at Kohl's, and I ended up finding a new sweater and a new pair of pants for work (I figured I needed at least a new top, and Mom said that the sweater I chose, which is navy and white stripes, needed navy pants to go with it). Then we went over to Old Navy, and Mom found a few more tops and some yoga pants, while I stumbled across a "Fang-Tastic" T-shirt that we both agreed I had to get. XD (Super-cheap too -- 2.99!) We tried to find something for Dad too, for Christmas (he wants a certain kind of super-thick sock), but no go, sadly. Still, I've got a new winter outfit, and a new T-shirt for warmer days, so that's nice. :)
Came home, had lunch, then did my writing -- a bit more on "Fixing You." Largely some goodbyes between the dead and the living before the living headed back Upstairs. . .minus Victor, who has a bit of a magical issue now. XD This chapter's a bit of a side-tangent to the main story, but having already mentioned that Victor's magical aura is weird thanks to Emily and her vow, I figure it's worth it to pay that off. Plus it's always a bit amusing to write Victor freaking out. XD (I'm so mean to him sometimes. . .)
After that was BioShock -- still in Apollo Square. Went back and got an audio diary I missed, then fought my way up to Suchong's laboratory and FINALLY got that second dose of Lot 192 I needed. Plasmids totally back under my control again, yay! I also saved both Little Sisters of the Level (making good use of proximity mines to blast one of those wretched Rosies. . .bastard still killed me, but the Vita Chamber was so close it was just a matter of opening the doors, stepping out, and dealing the killing blow). Currently parked near a safe I found, preparing to go explore the rest of the level and get my final upgrades from the Gatherer's Garden. Think I'm coming up to the grand finale. . .would be nice to finish off the game before the end of the year. Then I can start on BioShock 2. . .
And after that, YouTube! Caught up on Helloween's The Evil Within 2 LP -- he is rapidly souring on the game, both from his own incompetence in some spots and the game just being plain mean in others. He also continues to be Not Impressed by the story, but that was a given. XD I also caught up on another episode of The Sim Supply's "Wags To Riches" LP (he is CHURNING them out, seriously) -- the veterinary practice is starting to take shape! At the very least, James can afford wallpaper and lights now! And he's even treated a few patients! Not always successfully -- he completely missed one dog had an illness at the end of the current ep -- but still. He's on his way! And after that was the latest Linkara episode -- the first appearance of Namor! As a guy who outright murders two deep-sea divers, a bunch of guys on a boat, and some lighthouse keepers! Yeah, Namor was kind of villainous in his early appearances, it seems. Granted, this is a grudge inspired by his mother, who watched scientists investigating the South Pole destroy her people's former homeland with explosives, but still. Yeeps. No new episode this week to watch with it, but that's for a very good reason -- Lewis is on his honeymoon. :D He and Viga got married this past weekend, it looks like. I hope they're having a great time.
Then came supper, my shower, an inexplicable power blink (??), a bit of tumblr catch-up, and queuing up a few extra posts on VictorLuvsAlice. Nothing too interesting. Good day off, though, I gotta say. I appreciate my three-day weekends. But I do have work tomorrow, so it's time for me to sign off. Night all, sleep tight!
