It Thanksgiving!
Nov. 23rd, 2017 11:30 pmAnd I had a pretty good one, all things considered! To wit:
-->Got some more written on "Secundus 2" -- gang is trundling down what could charitably called 1880s Hill Valley's "main drag," taking in the sights (what there are of them). I managed to work in that Victor and Alice have decided that their baby's middle name is going to be either Emmett or Emma after Doc. :) Doc is appropriately touched, as you might imagine. Especially since Marty just admitted that he has similar plans for his own children. (They all end up using each other's names as middles for their kids, which is just super-sweet.)
-->Had a nice solid lunch of Chinese food (Mom wasn't overly impressed with the recipes she used, but I thought it all tasted fine -- chicken was definitely the best though) while watching Hot Fuzz -- still an excellent movie. :D Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are so funny in it, and it's genuinely tense as a thriller too. Gotta love it. Even though it made me realize there are still MORE parts for me to cast in this for my possible Valice AU of it. . .I think I might have to rejigger parts of my cast list. Hmm.
-->Had a drive once the movie was over -- went well. Got on the highway for a bit, wandered around some side roads, changed lanes, went to the Lincoln Mall parking lot and practiced three-point turns and backing up. Had to deal with the sun in our eyes making it hard to see where we were going for a bit, but I think I'm good for the test tomorrow.
-->No Sims 4, mostly because I'm still debating whether or not I want to get Cats & Dogs for its current price. Ended up playing a bit more BioShock instead. I'm currently on a quest to disguise myself as a Big Daddy to follow Fontaine to the final boss fight. I've gotten myself all pheremoned up, and found one of the local memories, so that's good. Now if only I could stop setting off security alarms. . .at least my current combo of gene tonics means alarms are shorter and I can wait them out by standing still (I have one that makes you turn invisible if you don't move). Still need to take care of the local Big Daddy population, though. . . Rosies are such bastards, seriously.
-->I did watch a bunch of Sims 4 videos, though -- The Sim Supply uploaded two more "Wags to Riches" episodes, plus a video of him doing a random genetics challenge with a couple of dogs. (The idea is, you randomize everything you can about the parents, then see how the kids turn out.) He actually trolled us pretty good at the beginning of the first new "Wags to Riches" video by saying he was going to get rid of all of his pets, then sell the vet clinic! He's been talking about getting rid of Ziggy, so I was willing to believe the first, but considering the whole point of the series is animal-based money-making methods. . .yeah, he still has his pets and his clinic. Doing pretty well, too -- Ziggy's learned a bunch of tricks, and James is slowly but surely fixing the layout of his clinic/house. He keeps spending all his money on interior walls, though, and forgetting doors. :p I also watched two more Random Genetics videos from a different Simmer who inspired games (TheEnglishSimmer -- she did both dogs and cats), a couple of Outside XBox short lists, and a 60 Seconds video. Very solid YouTube day.
-->And I just did my tumblr queues for the night (along with answering a quick question in my VictorLuvsAlice inbox). Because I have to get up about normal time tomorrow to be ready for my test, so -- yeah. Time for bed. Night all! I'll let you know how it goes!
