crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
[personal profile] crossover_chick
-->Weather was miserably rainy -- and while it wasn't too cold today, we're headed into an "Arctic" cold snap for the end of the week

-->Work was pretty boring (I'm back to just doing roster maintenance stuff for the moment -- although there were a few breaks with sending out e-mails and doing a quick import, so that was all right)

-->Traffic getting home was terrible (though, as Dad noted, we still got home before five)

-->Mom came home late from an outing with a friend all stressed out because of an accident on the highway and having to take the long way home, and her job pestering her again; this also resulted in a late supper

-->Most of the show we watched with supper was too-British-current-events-specific for us to really enjoy it -- the very last part, however, was HILARIOUS. Think "Scenes From A Hat" from Whose Line, only with a variety of British comedians. We found a 2-hour supercut of just that bit too, so that's lunch and dinner set for a while, at least.

-->Had to fill out most of a form that needs to be submitted for tax purposes by the end of this year ("most" because it needs to be notarized -- I think, however, I can find someone at work to do that); got a couple-sentences lecture from Mom about leaving it so long (justified, admittedly -- it's been sitting on my desk for a while, and I wasn't thinking about it because I was worrying about the driving thing. At least it was fairly easy to fill out, and I've got all the papers they want. Just need that sign-and-seal!)

-->Struggled a bit with writing my latest gift-fic -- fortunately I found my groove in the end and banged out something I think is pretty interesting

So yeah, not the worst day, but I've had better too. Right now, though, I should take advantage of something that hasn't happened in a while and get to bed before freaking midnight. Night all!
