Less Snowy Friday

crossover_chickWe have gotten a fresh dusting this evening, but the road people were smart this time and sanded the hell out of the roads. I appreciate that, as I will probably have to go out for something tomorrow (hint: has to do with the fact I'm 99% sure I'm PMSing). Weekend itself is supposed to be clear, if cold. Good thing my plans are mainly play Sims 4 (making poor Einstein AT LAST), watching YouTube videos, and getting more gift fics done. And getting actual gifts wrapped, if I can.
Not much to say about the day -- it was another one dedicated to roster maintenance. Nothing too special. I did get another gift fic done, though, which involved looking up some BTTF stuff on Futurepedia. Did you know they've got Dave McFly's middle name listed on there as TIBERIUS? Like Kirk? I can't find a source for said middle name on the page, though! I probably wasn't looking hard enough, but I want to know where they got that information. I mean, it's obviously George's fault, but is it something I missed in the comics, or. . .? I MUST KNOW. I also got sidetracked by the entries on the people from the Looney Labs Card Game -- did you know Looney Labs actually came up with some minor backstory for them? Like Clay Strickland is the future result of what would have happened if Clara hadn't fallen in the ravine but ALSO didn't fall in love with Doc -- she marries Marshall Strickland or one of his relatives, and that leads to Clay. And Marlin Berry is not only related to Marvin, but also the rock star version of Marlene! It's pretty damn fascinating -- I recommend you check the Card Game's Futurepedia page out.
I also watched some videos, as is my wont:
-->The last bit of Jay playing Among The Sleep (took him a minute to get what was actually going on in the game after being scared by trenchcoats), plus a random horror game demo called Madison (which features the use of a creepy Polaroid camera to take pictures of your environment and discover things that you might not see otherwise).
-->An absolutely hilarious Outside XBox Hitman escalation mission where 47 is basically a killer clown popping balloons and whacking people with a confetti bat. XD It was so hard that Andy temporarily went on a full Mike rampage, and Mike started thinking out things strategically, like Andy! Life is WEIRD. And awesome.
-->The latest in the Outside XBox Xmas Challenges (where Mike, Jane, and Andy compete to complete specific game challenges and win points -- have no idea what the winner gets, but there you go). Jane was up tonight, and hers was Sim-themed -- kill a Sim in Sims 4 in under ten minutes. Unfortunately, she was undone by her own hubris -- instead of concentrating on one Sim, she tried to set up semi-elaborate death traps for three. None of which involved the obvious solution of "fireworks + indoors = fire." Her walled-in pool trap for Sim!Mike did eventually do the job, but three minutes outside the time limit. This means Andy, who managed to drunkenly stagger back to his horse in Red Dead Redemption after five shots at the saloon (this is harder than it sounds -- John Marston is a WOBBLY drunk and is apparently very hard to control while intoxicated) is the only one to have actually scored a point. I'm looking forward to the rest of the challenges. :D
And -- that's about it, really. I do not live a life of excitement -- rather, I live one of intense distraction. And I've still got a ValiceMultiverse queue to set up, plus some other things to answer, so I'd better get on that. Night all!
