Happy Birthday To Meeeee~
Dec. 27th, 2017 11:25 pmAnd what a nice birthday it's been! My haul was small, but very sweet:
-->$50 cash from my Auntie Anne
-->The four BTTF comic trade paperbacks (including the series that just finished, "Hard Time/Time Served!" So now I can catch up on everything)
-->The BTTF Yahtzee! Game (this was a total surprise -- we're planning on playing a game tomorrow)
-->Aaaaand -- Victor Plush and Alice Dolly 2.0!
Yup, my mom made me homemade Victor and Alice dolls! Mostly because my official Victor doll and the Alice doll I got off E-Bay are falling apart. She'd mentioned making a new Alice before, but I didn't think she'd make a matching Victor! They are very cuddly and adorable -- Alice has very epic yarn hair. XD And she even made sure Victor was taller than Alice! That has always bugged me slightly about the original pair. . . Said original pair is now cuddling on the bottom shelf of my bookcase headboard, under my night stand. I don't know if I have it in me to just throw them away -- even if Alice's clothes are shredding and Victor's eye is chipping away, they've been with me for YEARS. I might just leave them there for now -- they're together, they're not hurting anybody. Later I'll probably find a place for them in one of my closets. (Yeah, I'm probably a bit too sentimental for my own good -- but they ARE my OTP.)
I also got a giant chocolate chip muffin (breakfast!) and a big old balloon, which is currently floating beside me. After I'd eaten, taken that picture for the internets, and gotten my bed made and myself dressed, we went over to Providence Place and Dave & Buster's -- Mom had the bright idea of getting to the place early so we could get first crack at the games before the crowds started pouring in from school vacation -- and, in this case, for half-price Wednesdays. They kindly put $25 worth of chips on my card, and we played as many of the multiplayer games as we could find -- including multiple rounds on MarioKart. (I won the first race; Dad won the other two by sniping me at the last second!) Mom is now talking about getting a Wii, and Dad and I are joking that she just wants to play more MarioKart at home. XD (I think she's actually a little more interested in the exercise games -- we'll see if anything comes of it!) We left a little after noon after exhausting most of the good games -- got out just as it was starting to reach the peak of business. Very smart move to go early, and we'll probably keep to that plan for any future trips.
After that was lunch, which we had at Twins Pizza because yummy. Dad and I had meatball & sausage subs with fries, and Mom a spinach pie. Took a while to get our food, but that's because they only seemed to have one waitress -- as she told us when she gave us the check, all four of her other coworkers had called out sick! Yikes. Poor lady. . .but the sandwiches and pie were awesome as usual. I also went ahead and ordered a piece of cake to take home -- Chocolate Lovin' Spoon Cake if I remember correctly. Chocolate cake with an inner chocolate pudding filling. It was freaking delicious when I ate it for dessert, let me tell you. Good times.
Then we went home, mostly because Mom did have to work today. I hopped on the computer and did some writing on "Fixing You" -- two more sections of Victor's trip to Wonderland! Village of the Doomed and Tundraful. Feels good to get back in the groove for that and "Secundus 2." Hopefully I can keep the momentum going! And then after that, I played Sims! Most of the day was just about Victor interacting with the pets and Emma getting her skill up (she maxed Thinking! Just one more to go!), but when Alice got home from work, I managed to accomplish two major goals:
A) I finally visited another Sim's house for the first time in Sims 4! I'm not used to this being a thing, so I never took advantage of it before. But I had a mission for Alice, and it involved visiting Vlad's place in Forgotten Hollow, so off she went!
B) I finally managed to get Alice and Vlad friendly enough for Vlad to turn her. Which means I'm FINALLY getting vampire!Alice! I've only been planning that SINCE I GOT THE STUPID GAME PACK! This means I'm going to be with the Van Dorts for a while in my Sims game, since I don't want to leave and have Alice change without me there. . .or worse, be sent out in the daytime by my stupid game and burn to a crisp. *grumbles* I'll have to see if there's something in MC Command Center that might stop that, but I do want to be around long enough to design her "dark form." (Also fix Scraps's collar issue -- apparently dogs, at least, have separate "walkies" clothes, and Scraps is him WITHOUT his collar. Which makes no sense, so -- yeah. Gotta alter that.) Oh horror and woe, more time with my OTP couple~
And then, after that, was videos -- mainly Helloween's next XMas Game (Plok, a platformer I'd never heard of before but which has pretty awesome music); The Sim Supply's latest "Wags To Riches" set (James can now craft ambrosia treats, which sell for a pretty penny -- after a few of those and a full day at the vet clinic, Kat's been able to afford her second retail lot! Unfortunately one of her cats has run away, so she can't enjoy it, though James can); and OXtra vs OXBox in a post-Christmas charades showdown (Luke and Mike are hilariously bad at guessing, while Ellen is much better and Andy is freaking amazing -- however, they're actually tied at the moment, so now they have to do a second round). Fun times. :)
And now I'm doing the RP thing, as usual -- got some good threads going, so I need to get back to that! Hope you all had a great Wednesday! :) Night all!
